I know someone who fits the motor for customers, and they keep getting V2 controllers from PSWPower
They have just done the voltage check, rather than actually tried to flash them..............
Anyone know yet if the new TSDZ2b is compatible with the OSF ?
It is mostly the same motor in a new case, as far as I understand.
Oh, and the reason the designer jumped ship is (allegedly) that they weren't happy with Tongsheng cheaping out on manufacturing and warranty.
The TwoSevern motor...
As always, it's the French's fault!
They introduced a law against "hot rodding" eBikes with a 20k fine and/or 2 years in prison.
Strangely no one in France wants to sell bikes/motors that can be unlocked now.
The original firmware is very good, but it has a cadence limit if around 80.
This makes it's pretty crap for mtb............ but still great for everything else.
The OSF ups the cadance and makes it a bit more efficient.
Thanks for that you star!!
Same designer explains the similarities.
As far as I can tell the insides are a bit different :
Pauls instead of a sprag clutch
Different type of torque sensor
etc..
But still square tapered :(
So they did listen that hard to the users
Will be interesting to see...
Not convinced that ever happened.
I can not find an original source for the claim.
Remember bafangs are just a copy of that Japanese motor.
The Japanese sued them, but shockingly the Chinese courts decided it wasn't - now the Japanese company is out of business.
The Chinese think ripping off...
It could be the Tongsheng factory is making them for To7?
It's not unheard of for large companies to manufacture for smaller ones, and steal their ideas - especially in China.
Maybe this is what the alleged court case was about, and nothing to do with Bafang?
It's a reasonable price, and claiming 160 rpm (assumed cadance), and 100+ nm.
