CHEAP NEW ORIGINAL 18650 21700 BATTERY CELLS, POUCHES AND PACKS

Seems like a lot of us have problems getting in touch with tumich... If you look at his profile under "Last activity" it says "-". What does this mean? Everyone else I look at have a time and date... Kicked out? Banned?

    Sanyo 18650GA fakes?

I have bought the same type of cell from Tumich. The letter B and QR code are the same, and on the opposite side you can see a very very faint text, mine says "NCR18650GA 7511". You must almost look sideways on them in the right light to see. I´m 95% sure they are geniune...

Cycle Analyst V3, shorted to motor phase wires, now dead

That´s what I was afraid of... Ah well, the Kelly survived at least, and I can borrow another CA from a friend to get everything up and running.

Cycle Analyst V3, shorted to motor phase wires, now dead

As the topic says, I had an incident the other day, where most all the wires going in to my cromotor got shered off and shorted to the motor axle. As far as I can measure, one of the hall sensors died, I´m working on replacing them right now, but also, my CA V3 gave up... I had two wires...

    Cooling fans inside Hub motors

I have tried smoke in various forms, but I do not have a reliable source of smoke to make a serious judgement. However, with only holes without any form of wings, the flow through the motor is more or less zero... And I mean, why should the air that rushes by the covers in 20-50km/h go inside...

    Cooling fans inside Hub motors

Exactly! My motor spins faster and produces more torque to the ground then my friends motor = mine should run cooler. Also, the Cromotor V2 has greater efficiency than Cromotor V1, and finally, the aluminium stator makes the V2 cool down faster. But despite all the above, my friends less...

    Cooling fans inside Hub motors

They are on the air exit side. The thought is that the wings will create a low pressure zone behind it, and draw air out of the motor, and it does work. Me and a friend have experimented to a great extent this summer. We got his Cromotor V1 to run the same temp or cooler than my Cromotor V2...

    Cooling fans inside Hub motors

I hade some scratches here and there inside the motor after pulling it apart the first time, so the paint was mostly extra protection. I do not think a 1/10th of a millimeter makes much difference in heat dissipation. The size and position of the holes might not be the best, I simply milled...

    Cooling fans inside Hub motors

I have hit 120C a couple of times when riding in the woods, slow, up steep hills and with 8-10kW of power. Bike is 55kg with an additional 95kg of me on it. The windings are sprayed with a special paint made for electric motors "Ultimeg 2000/372" reads on the can. It has something like 30kV/mm...

    Cooling fans inside Hub motors

I´m kind of looking forward to what these little bastards can do for the cooling in my V2 Cromotor :D They blow crazy amounts of air on 7V each (7,2V max), makes lots of noise also but hey... 3D-printed inlays for the pockets in the stator, and just some hot glue here and there.

Rear spring rate for Greyborgs latest frame

Turned out the bouncy spring was user error  There was an adjustment for the rebound as well, and this was set to the lowest. With it turned up a bit, the damper feels much better, but still a little hard. I´m having charger issues that I will deal with first, but come summer, I might...

Rear spring rate for Greyborgs latest frame

Surely the shock doesn´t meet the quality of a Fox, but I dont think it´s the cheapest crap you can find, it´s a "Fastace" damper for about 185 USD. The shiny things you see are aluminium "wings" that creates a sucking through the holes milled behind them. Lowered the temperature with about...

Rear spring rate for Greyborgs latest frame

Took it out for a spin in the woods, and the damper doesn´t do much dampening, it feels like its just the spring there, bouncing around. However, I had the compression setting on the damper at its lowest, thinking this would make it softer. Took another short spin with the compression turned up...

Rear spring rate for Greyborgs latest frame

I ended up buying a 250cc dirt bike shock with a 1000lbs spring on it. Had to weld on a new upper mount and cut the seat post a bit to make room for it. It´s a bit hard, 850-900lbs might work better, but I will try riding some on it before changing spring.
