Wow...that would be my dream to have 35ah. If I could cover a 60 km trip as if I'm riding 35 km trip (hard), that would be pretty amazing. I have to get up really early tomorrow to ride my Mando Footloose in Eco with hard setting series hybrid (pedal power generation) just to cover 35 km at 13...
So here is a response from a few of my questions regarding the Crown vs 5403/5404, (I thought because the crown is rated at 1000 to 2000 w that it was significantly less powerful than the 5403:
"Nominal wattage means nothing. Other people call the much smaller H series crystalyte motors as 3000...
Ah thanks, yep I wish Canada had a climate like Oz, but then the world would be in complete chaos  I'll figure out how to do what you've done with my friend who has all of the necessary tools...I'll also make him do it on his motor first lol.
That's really interesting. I've been trying to figure out a solution for the climate that my friend and I ride in. Where are you based? In Oz? The salt on the roads here during the colder months (which is 6 months straight) finds it's way into everything. I found this motor simulation here...
Salt corrosion and additional water damage. Stock 5403 and 5404 (which took a severe beating riding daily all winter in Canada). I'm looking at a guy who can bring them back to life after an ebike mechanic of mine was trying to get the magnets to respond properly. Stock 5403 was from...
I definitely felt the speed exhilaration going from my Mando Footloose back to the Stealth. For the 200 km I rode with my brand new Fox V4 carbon helmet before the motor died on me...closest thing to heaven. Bike will be ready tomorrow with my stock motor. I dependon my Stealth big time because...
Yep I stand up everything I can with the occasional...."crap that was a big hit".
I think it's the brutality of the winter along with my 40 lb backpack (I'm 200 lbs) and I pedal all the time which means lots of saddle time. The rails on all my seats break in the same place. The custom weld...
Been a while fellas since I've posted. Rode all winter with an MX wheel setup with 5404. No problems until the motor started to have issues at the beginning of spring. Repainted the Bomber with a rust check based paint, rode again for about 200 km and the screws on my rotor came loose and sliced...
I haven't taken my wheel off all winter, but took off the bolts to start a spring cleaning. Got some minor corrosion, what is the easiest way to open the stock motor without the clamps?
Do you think it's the Hal sensor or near the rear axle? Because my Hal Sensor was dry when I took it apart. I'm not using a stock rear wheel, 5404 high torque motor on an 18 inch Excel rim with MX Shinko SR241.
Does anyone get water affecting their motor connection from the rear instead of splash on the Hal sensor connection? I have my Hal sensor fully taped up and rode all winter without any electrical issues. When it rained the other day, the ground was really wet and within 14 km, I got the...
Hey Guys,
Kind of an off topic post but figured I'd give the Stealth community first dibs. So I've been riding my Bomber for almost 2 years and loving the entire experience. I find a lot of the die-hards are pretty technical I'm doing some consulting for an agency in Toronto, Canada and I...
