Cromotor v3 secondary hall wiring chart

Just cracked the motor case open again, and yes, I can positively confirm that the hall sensors are hosed. One of them has all three leads sheared off! I'm going to do a hall sensor overhaul on this beast. Thanks for the help, and I apologize for being a "thread hijacker"

Cromotor v3 secondary hall wiring chart

I'm measuring things on the controller's connector. I'll have to crack open the motor case and measure at the sensors themselves. This will give me an opportunity to check out the wires going to the sensors. I'm getting the feeling that my connections are fine, but the wires themselves might...

Cromotor v3 secondary hall wiring chart

One of the sensors is stuck on 5v. The second one is stuck on 0v. The third toggles between 0 and 5v as the wheel spins. Not sure if I have I have two bad sensors or bad wiring.

Cromotor v3 secondary hall wiring chart

Thanks, Brumbrum. My wire colors are slightly different - I don't have a brown wire. This is what I have: Orange Black Gray Purple White I tried: Orange -> Red Black -> Black Gray -> Yellow Purple -> Green White -> Blue No luck; it didn't work. I'm only seeing one sensor toggling between...

Cromotor v3 secondary hall wiring chart

Any luck getting the second set of hall sensors working? I've got two damaged hall sensors in my Cromotor and I'm looking to connect up the spare set. I'm running into the same thing as you - I'm not sure of the wiring as there is a purple wire instead of brown. It sounds like you've...

    lee Iacocca Emonster transformation

I have one of those. I gutted all the electronics and replaced the motor with a Cromotor and the controller with a Lyen 18 FET. I'm running this with two massive Ping 36v 30ah batteries in series, giving a 72v 30ah system. I've put the controller, breaker box, and turn signal electronics in...

    Hubzilla Cromotor V2 information

I finally did get things sorted out. I think that I ran into more problems because I installed the Cromotor onto a frame with a 135mm dropout spacing. I had to bend the frame apart a bit to get the motor to fit and I didn't want to go wider still in order to fit some fat c washers. I ended up...

    Hubzilla Cromotor V2 information

I'm also having the same disc brake rotor dilemma. There doesn't seem to be any spacer to give room between the 200mm rotor and the inside of the dropout. The only spacer that I got with the motor was one 16mm plain washer. As it is, the screw heads for mounting the rotor will rub on the...

    DOT approved tires

I've got one of those EV Global (Iacocca) eBikes that I've converted. The original tires on it were 26 inch and were DOT marked, manufactured by Kenda. There's no model number or any other series branding on them. My guess is that they are no longer made anymore. The DOT code on them is K38M...

Battery pack cutting out under load

Ok, I follow you. But to do that, I'd have to rip open the shrink wrap that surrounds the pack and BMS. Ugh! If it has to be done, I'll do it, but its not something I'm very keen on doing. In a few days, I'm going to be rewiring the balancer connectors to make a "y" cable so that the...

Battery pack cutting out under load

Ok, I have data, lots of data. Before I post it and cause more confusion, I have some questions about whether or not I'm measuring things correctly. I have two 36V Ping packs that use the Signalab BMS. If I measure the voltage of one entire pack at the main output connector, I get around 39v...

Battery pack cutting out under load

Ok, I'll do that when I charge it tonight. When should I take the voltage readings? When I first hook up the charger or should I wait a while?

Battery pack cutting out under load

I just wanted to post a follow-up. I've been fighting the same battery cut-off issue off and on since my first posting. I'm finally starting to get a handle on it, I think. Yes, I had a balancer wire that came off, and after fixing it, I thought I got things back in order, but it turns out...

Battery pack cutting out under load

I fixed the wire and haven't had any weirdness from the pack yet. I'll need to run the bike a bit more to tell for sure, but I think I'm back in business. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. Dnmun, I don't quite follow what you are trying to achieve with your "hack". Can you...

Battery pack cutting out under load

You guys nailed it! After giving the balancing wires a look, I found a broken wire. I didn't have time to fix it last night but I'll get into it shortly. Looks like fun to fix with all of the rtv goop all around the wires! Hopefully I'll be able to resurrect my pack. Thanks for steering my...
