Bafang 750 watt hub motor on 26" wheel

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this matter. I just came into ownership of a free brand new 750watt bafang hub motor that is in a 26" rim and tire. I have a bunch of 52V batteries kicking around and would really like to pair this wheel with a new fat bike. I know I still...

Bafang BBSHD peddling issues Please help

I have just done a major overhaul on my bbshd. Replaced the clutch, the steel gear, controller, motor core, ect ,ect ,ect. For some reason my peddles are kind of slack. It is a lot better than when I didn't have the freewheel/clutch properly seated/connected to the main gear and there was...

BBSHD trouble shooting error 30 still after new controller, harness and throttle

Hey guy its been a long week and I have wasted so much time and money on this ( buying a new kit would have been cheaper at this point, seeing how much time I wasted that I could be wasting on work) , but here we go. I had a battery short issue last week, so to remedy the issue I bought a new...

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

Charges in about 12 hours when really low it charges at 110 watts. If I have proper panels maybe 5 hours. When you are off grid in the woods, we will see how good the psu works. Thanks for the advice I never knew I could find a place more toxic than reddit, but here it is. Congrats.

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

My plugs essentially fell apart after plugging and unplugging them hundreds of times. Every time I load it on my bike rack on my truck, I have to take the battery off. Engineering, designed, no need for pedantics. Cheap either way

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

Its engineered to break. You would think they would use something more rigid. And considering that ebikes are used by old people - whos hands aren't the steadyiest , it is easy to mis-align the plugs before plugging them together. This is on top of the fact that the thing ignites when x,y and z...

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

The only other thing I can relate it to is the charging method I used on my old battery before going on a 40km ride. I am experimenting with a boost mppt charge controller charging my batteries directly with the controller using a 320 watt folding solar panel, instead of the supplied charger...

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

The alie express battery wasn't brand brand new, sorry super detail is not my expertise, did not think it was important. I had used it to do 2 ranges tests for about 300kms over the last week. I agree the controller must have fried the first time around, hence the reason why different things...

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

All adapters were bought from luna cycle. I didn't solder anything. I will get the mm. I was riding the bike 5 minutes before this happened. I switched the battery when I got home which entailed unplugging everything. That is when I had the issue with the connector tried straightening the pins...

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

No, chances are there was something wrong with what I just did. You don't wire an entire house blindly that just turn on the power to the whole thing , you go circuit by circuit. I dont own a mm. Obviously your have never wired a car stereo or home stereo and had the amp pop. I guess you are...

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

The first time the power discharge xt90 on the battery and xt90 on the xt90 to anderson adapter melted. On the second attempt - new adapter in place, the anderson on the bbshd controller and the adapter melted. but both xt90s ( male and female) were pristine. Second time it caught fire

Disaster today, almost set two fires with BBSHD and 52v batteries

They all passed inspection . Sociopath central today . I was just making a comment, wrong analogy to be making surrounded by 400 IQ endless sphere users I guess. Wiring a house is a lot easier than dealing with direct current. lights and outlets on different circuits, unless there are a bunch of...
