    ~~New BUILD: Specialized "WattHopper" ~6KW

Sry guys, I hate when it doesn't display the images inline and has the link instead... Anyway, I can't imagine it to be right/safe to keep plugging and unplugging the red and black connectors when I want to ride. There's always a little spark when this is done!

Hey Guys, I've got the bike wired up and took some spins around the block. At first I was wondering why it was going so slow, then I realized that it was cause I didn't set my amp settings from the default. When I switched it up, man this bike took off. I didn't know how fast I was going...

Rix - Honestly I LOVE how the 5403 looks on this bike. Plus, I'm really glad I have specifically your 5403 cause it has the machine drilled holes and the Turnigy wires and all the extra added protection to the motor that I would not have a clue about doing to a stock motor. This is the reason...

Thanks for the tip dmwahl, I'll definitely need to make a return trip to AutoZone for the torque wrench. The bike is pretty much ready to go, and all I'm working on now is the connections. The wheel will be spinning in no time! Wanted to post a pic of what she looks like currently. Already...

Man, I wish I can mod out a trike or recumbent - don't have enough space! Will probably sometime down the road. Thanks for the advice - I went out to AutoZone and got me some anti-seize right away, I wish I had a torque meter though, I don't know how much pressure to add without it. Anyway...

Hey guys, not too much to update visually, but I have connected the battery and adaptto together to test connection and the screen turned on as expected. I've installed the montague handlebar extender, as well as the torque arms. While doing this process , I noticed a small but very important...

It's definitely not as strong as the Vector frame that I have, but it's also not running as much power. This build is running a 60V 60A battery on the Mini-E Adaptto. Maybe 35-40mph max. The only thing that I'm worrying about is the weight of the motor, being the x5403. Which is why I have two...

Thanks DasDouble - will be keeping an eye on your build - I received dmwahl's torque arm today and I can definitely vouch for the quality of the metal. The package was quite heavy and I had no idea it was the torque arm til I opened it. It aligns perfectly with the disc brake bolts. I just...

Hey, Yeah Rix - the total length of both metal pieces are longer than my forearm hahaha I finished truing the rear wheel (true enough for now) and added the Hutchinson. Here's how the bike looks so far - looks real clean! Also noticed the ridiculously minimal clearance between two areas...

Hello Got some stuff in the mail today. I didn't get my primary torque arm from dmwahl yet, it should be arriving Monday. But I did get my secondary torque arm today - the Crystalyte one. I must say, I cracked up so hard when I got this in the mail - I had no idea what it was until I finally...

Rix, Awesome! I gotta check out the post. I'll be creating the Venom build thread in about a week! I've been working on the Adaptto controller issues I've been facing with it (I ran too much current through the Cromotor without switching out the wire housing to maintain a higher heat which...

HELLO E-S! First - I'm sorry for the terribly long hiatus. Being that this is my first REAL build, I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take to allocate a skilled fabricator for the swingarm segment of this build. In total, it took me 3 months to find someone who was good...

First build - Vector (e-kross) frame

Hey pal, Long time no talk - Great job with the build, the black looks awesome. I have a quick question. I'm using a Cromotor too, did you have any problems fitting the axle on the dropouts? It seems like you inverted the dropout clamps. Also, was the axle too wide for the frame dropout? It...

I only have great things to say about that man. Yep, crzymotor - we're all talking about the same guy. I was just lucky enough to trip on his thread one morning while I was just starting my day with some coffee, and the rest was history. If I check my gmail inbox right now, we've messaged...

Spokes arrived today, and I've already begun the lacing process - Here is a picture of how the bike looks : I can't wait until the swingarm arrives. Then I can give her a whole new paintjob. I have decided to stick with the Adaptto Mini-E for this bike. The Max-E could easily be overkill...
