    POLICE CRACKDOWN

What police crackdown? It sounds to me like you were seen behaving like a dick and made yourself a target for the rentacops. Now you are crying about it and looking for sympathy. HTFU!

    POLICE CRACKDOWN

 You do realise Android is a massive data source for Google A&M. 100% data harvesting and spyware platform and this site alone makes connections to multiple Google urls. So it is ridiculous to say you don't use their services. Linux is not entirely safe either. Google provides massive...

Taking steep hills with a hub motor

Maximum phase current is set in your controller.

Taking steep hills with a hub motor

Sounds like sag or temperature, but I'll ask anyway. Is phase current sufficient. If you are getting slow enough and into the initial power ramp you will see a power drop.

Did you get your licence back after your DUI? You sound like a zealot on your unregistered, unlicensed and uninsured motorcycle.

Bafang G310 geared hub - 11:1 reduction ratio!!!

About 20k now. 250eW. The important parts are 30A max phase amps, minimum 4-6kph (I played a bit) start speed so it isn't pulling from a stop, 60-65C normal operating temperature, thermal roll back starts at 80C and I recognise it as an assist motor (not a prime mover) and put in at least as...

Before I connect these batteries in parallel…

Ditto. Li-ion cells at a lower discharge rate put out more total energy. Every cell test supports this. Cells will have a longer useful life if the same Amps are spread across twice the number of cells. And cells will have a longer useful life if either pack is not being fully discharged on...

Before I connect these batteries in parallel…

Yes, good idea to keep an eye on pack voltages and keep them as close to the same as possible. Current can be very high between grossly mismatched packs. I do the same Y connection on discharge. But I charge through the BMS and made another Y for the charger. My discharge ports are not live...

    Dremel tips

It's 200W for Aussies and it is stamped lol. Unless it is an EN15194 pedelec which has to have the standards sticker... Regarding EN15194 250W limit it is useful to understand the standard. It is not stupid. Bicycle is human powered. That is the basis of the existing laws. Bicycles are also...

    Dremel tips

"Made for America" is a joke in my country to describe cheap junk. Also American brand names going down the road of cheap and nasty from the lowest Chinese bidder. Dremel is one. Recent experience with another was Nutribullet. Really nasty when you get them apart. It failed five ways in the...

    Materials for DIY Battery Bag

The material I am talking about is PVC coated canvas. More durable than PVC sheet. I only suggest it as a cheap alternative to ballistic nylon or polyester canvas

    Materials for DIY Battery Bag

Looks like Oatey shower liner is not a canvas, just flexible PVC sheet. It might be pushing it to ask it to support a 10kg battery. PVC canvas is often used in motorcycle panniers so itl is not an unknown. Often overloaded, they support the weight. They are usually welded ultrasonically or...
