"Edge" DD hubmotor, 1500W, 35mm, Al core

I use Sapim Strong 13g/14g single-butted spokes. Length is 162mm when this motor is laced in a Sun Ringle MTX33 - 26" wheel.

    Samsung 30Q - high drain 18650 Li-ion cell's capacity test

I've been specifying the Samsung 30Q cells for my pack builds for the last 2 years. They are good enough that I haven't had the urge to experiment with any other cells. So yeah, they get my vote. :bigthumb:

"Edge" DD hubmotor, 1500W, 35mm, Al core

N38 curved magnets are a go. 4T (11Kv) and 6T (8.5Kv) windings are my usual options. Anyone looking for a different winding than those?

"Edge" DD hubmotor, 1500W, 35mm, Al core

I am not aware of a MXUS branded 35mm DD Hub motor that utilizes a V2 or better stator design. I had to find another manufacturer to get the V2 stator in the 35mm width. As far as I know the MXUS with the Cassette Freehub axle is only available in a 30mm Magnet width, not the 35mm, and I'm not...

"Edge" DD hubmotor, 1500W, 35mm, Al core

I've been getting the V2 stator design, which uses the standard flat magnets. It does have the 0.35mm Laminations and cast aluminum stator, as well as the 2.5mm2 (~13AWG) phase wires and 10K NTC thermistor. For controllers, I'm moving to the Grin phaserunners for these motors. They are a bit...

MXUS coming out with a 5K-Turbo motor, 55mm Magnets

Yep. The only difference between the "clones" and MXUS 3K is the cover plate (logo) The rest is our refined recipe requested from another equally qualified manufacturer.

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

Those look like 4.0mm2 phase wires to me. Keep in mind the "4.0mm2" refers to the cross sectional area NOT the diameter of the wire. The Diameter of a 4mm2 wire is close to 2.5mm.

It's a 2007 Norco Six SE Battery is a custom built 72V-15Ah (20S5P Configuration), Samsung 30Q cells, with 80A BMS, housed neatly in the integrated battery box I designed. A brief write up with more details is here...

Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD

Went for the first test ride this weekend. Gotta say I like it. With a Stock 42T Front Chainring and 42T tall rear, it threw me off the bike. Lost a flip flop (sandal) in the process, also, but did manage to stay on my feet, at least. A couple more notes for guys still building: PAS Set-up...

Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD

Figured out the Hall Sensor error. The phase wire connector came loose at the Phaserunner unit. Plugged it back in and Autotune seemed to work fine.

Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD

So just getting my BBSHD + Phaserunner wired up. Got some issues, but first I'll enlighten you all to a bit of useful info. The Purple wire from the BBSHD motor is the 10K NTC sensor. All you need to do to monitor the temp with a CA3 display is run this purple wire up to the temp input of the...
