500W motor making rumbling/clanking noise - almost no power (video attached)

Ok, i am a bit confused. So my wheel is running in the right direction. But if i hold the wheel tight it with my hand, before start pushing the throttle, it sounds like something inside the wheel is spinning. I found this old thread on using the self-learning. Last post seems leget, i will try...

500W motor making rumbling/clanking noise - almost no power (video attached)

Hi Amberwolf, Firstly: about the first part of your answer, regarding motor spinning in reverse: SO this is not an issue right, i dont have to do anything about what i experience here? Regarding hall: I have tested with controller connected and turned on. I got fine 0 and 5V readings on two of...

Ok, so hall test seems to fail on one of the three sensors

500W motor making rumbling/clanking noise - almost no power (video attached)

Thanks. So now i have repaired the wires (disassembled the motor, and replaced and resoldered the wires, like this video ). The motor is having the same issue as before. Guess I will go on to test hall and controller, as per the link from amberwolf P.S. Also I noticed, that if hold the wheel...

500W motor making rumbling/clanking noise - almost no power (video attached)

Hi, I have inherited a broken Kugoo M4 electric scooter. It comes with a broken rear motor. One thing is that the wiring seems shady to the motor, might have a bad connection, but the motor also makes a strange sound. Can anyone identify this sound - could it be caused by the damaged wires, or...

Converting to dual motor setup (Electric-scooter-wheelchair build)

Hi, Yes the loss of traction is because of inadequate weight on the front wheel. However this is hard to modify for me. Because I cannot move the wheelchair any more forward (the wheelchair foot plate sits against the front steering Coloumn), and the center gravity of the wheelchair is designed...

Converting to dual motor setup (Electric-scooter-wheelchair build)

Ok makes sense. I guess I could just test concept of having 2 skateboard wheels in the back is even useful, by putting a regular electric skateboard kit on the rear, and operate the remote control throttle with my left hand and the original front hub control with my right hand. Buuut would...

Converting to dual motor setup (Electric-scooter-wheelchair build)

The Dual motors is to get traction, since the front wheel slips/skits a lot, especially uphill. Thanks for the link. With one of these I guess I should be able to control the hub front motor and one electric skateboard wheel in the rear. A little step down from my vision of 3-wheel-drive, but...

Converting to dual motor setup (Electric-scooter-wheelchair build)

Thanks, that makes sense. Dont know why I didn't think of that. So I think I will try to see if I can use original type controllers to run these wheels. All from the same display, using splitters to controllers. Think it could work?

Converting to dual motor setup (Electric-scooter-wheelchair build)

In terms of getting a controller for my two alectric skateboard wheels, i am a little puzzled. One option is going with a dual controller designed for skateboards, however these uses a remote for the control. BUT can it be hooked up to the display that is on my electric scooter (akin to this)?
