That’s a good reason. I hadn’t considered it as I rarely have to carry much of a load when riding. A backpack is usually enough for me. For anyone wondering the Mudhugger MTB 27.5 inch mudguards fit on the AM1000 well. I’ll post a photo later. Bit hard to get to my bike for a couple of days.

Any reason you prefer the hardtail? Having moved from a hardtail to the Frey FS ebike I'll never go back. The ride is so much more comfortable. The loss of efficiency in peddling is easily made up for by the motor.

Take the nuts off and belt the bolts out with a hammer and a steel rod (I used an old T30 torx screwdriver). Seriously. They aren't threaded, just really tight. By using a rod centred on the bolt you are less likely to roll over the thread with the hammer.

I had the same trouble with my square taper puller. It worked for my 2008 Giant Alias but not this bike. While the tool threads on to the crank fine, you can see in Ivanovitch's photo above the ISIS has a much larger inner diameter. The centre of the puller just slips right inside with nothing...

Wow. Yeah mine's no where near that bad. You also have the occasional random ticking noise (not the freewheel) when cruising or pedalling along. Could be something hitting the spokes, a dud ratchet pawl or bearing. Let me know what you find.

Did you find out what was causing this? I noticed on my ride to work this morning that the rear brake was vibrating quite a bit when braking hard. Not a "bang" noise but disconcerting none the less. I cant see anything obviously wrong with it.

There are two female half sized spade lugs in the handlebar wiring harness. They switch 6V @ 500mA (3W) using the handlebar controller. If you want to run a light that draws more power than 3W have a read of this: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1387972#p1387972

It's cool. Ivy is sending me one of the longer silver (Al) ones. And the battery is sufficiently Velcro strapped for the interim.

Have a close look at both sides of your rotor for defects.

Are these new battery locks available aftermarket? I shook my battery off my bike on my ride to work this morning. Not completely off the bike fortunately. I managed to grab it and shove it back into place rather than letting it fall out.
