    Bafang BBS02B - BafangConfigTool.exe - No Connection

Hi, I've recently received and installed my new BBS02B 500w 36v motor and tried to get into the controller settings via the USB programming lead that I had for a previous BBS02 motor/controller. No connection could be made. The COM Port only shows COM1, (nothing more after refreshing) when I...

Removing battery from casing and disconnecting lock+ power indicator

Mission successful! :D Before disconnecting any wires I had a closer look at the battery and could see the shape of the 18650 so cut the two power wires at the back and removed the plate. After carefully slicing through the 8 blobs of silicone I could see holding the battery in place it was...

Removing battery from casing and disconnecting lock+ power indicator

Amberwolf thank you again :) The two wires that come from the lock are the same thickness as the as the wires that connect to the charging socket and also the power out. They then connect to thinner wires and to the bms/battery. I don't know if the key is the connector but I'll try and get...

Removing battery from casing and disconnecting lock+ power indicator

Hi, I have a battery that I would like to remove from the casing. By doing so I can reduce the length by 15cm and the battery will go in a bag. The problem I have is that the case has a key lock that is wired to the power, the key needs to be left in and in the On position and I need to remove...

    Old 36v bike batteries

Thanks for explaining. I took the battery case off and found the problem was a wire that had come lose from the fuse. Fixed this and everything was working fine. I'll use your advice on checking the first battery because I couldn't see any issues with the wires or connections.

    Old 36v bike batteries

Hi Amberwolf, thanks for taking the time to explain the possible issues. Battery 2 will be the one to do first. When you say check that the group voltages are the same, How would I do this? Also what would be the correct voltage for the groups?

Creating a mobile disco :D trying to work out if I can fit it all into a metal flight case I have. Multimeter - Testing/Results

To get as accurate as poss I set the multimeter to 20V DC and this gives me the reading of 8.40v from the output on the converter. I've left it outside on concrete slabs but it seems to be ok now so maybe the smoke was because the light was new? it was a cheapo from china...I'll leave it on an...

    Multimeter - Testing/Results

I connected the light today via the buck converter with the output set to 8.40 (20V DC) and after a couple of minutes of being on, I could smell burning plastic and see very slight smoke coming from the light  I am a bit confused. Why does the MM show higher voltage than what the plug...
