It has been noisier than I expected was the reason I was wanting to check the grease. I don't have a lot of experience with geared hub motors though. I've got a lot more time with a BBS02 and a DD hub. I just thought I would be proactive and check things out.

A while back, I was given a 48v 20ah V-Power Lifepo battery. I just checked all the cells as I was advised in a previous post, and they are either 3.3 or 3.4 volts totaling 53.6 volts after charging. Does this mean it is a healthy, usable battery? I am planning on using it with a 750w geared hub...

It would be no problem to put the mid-drive on the captain's crank. You would just need to use a square taper left idler crank arm in place of the crank arm that comes with the Bafang. With the crank motor in that position, you would only get the heavy wear and tear on the shorter chain instead...
