    LifP04 pack....48V 150AH. 6AH cells.

    Simply taking SxP approach pack would work in theory which would result in a 16S25P arrangement. Gut says to instead build several smaller 16S modules (each fused) and hook those up in parallel to bus bars. Pack maximum sustained current is 75amps (1/2C). Short bursts 150A (1C). Thoughts?

    Dial-in your cheap chinese controller&throttle....no more surging forward.

    This is an old problem discussed in several threads as far back as 2010. Cheap speed controllers are "speed" throttled, not "torque" throttled, so when starting out, max-amps go into motor until target-RPM is reached. The specific problem I experience on last build: Bike would "lunge" forward...

    $39 26x4 tire sale heads-up......

    This is a pretty good price on 26x4 fat meats....... I use them and find them pretty good for gravel/sand/dirt riding....knobs (any knob....not juts this tire) wear down pretty quick on pavement though...

    Have built 3 rear-hub-drive ebikes......going to try front.

    Need a 24-inch 36h rim that fits 24x3.0 tire.

    Bafang RM.G062.1000W Geared hub RPM much too fast......

    I ordered a 26" version with RPM 380 RPM @48V rating.....but received motor with 500+RPM measured @ 48V. Measured speed (unloaded) is 39 MPH with 26" wheel. I expect I was sent 20" motor version. :-( My original plan was to overvolt 380RPM motor to 56V......maybe instead I will not overvolt...
