    N2 Nitrogen ?

My two variable experience, heavy Michlen tires and Nitrogen from Costco, on a Toyota Tacoma Prerunner is at 35 PSI the stuff doesn't leak out between 3000 to 8000 tire rotations. I can also drive around with screws in the tires without repairing them. I live in Dallas, Texas U.S.A, so gas...

Any heavy-duty twist throttle on the market?

Search for Magura. It is not a half grip, but I think some have converted it. You'll note that some specical mods are needed to make it work in most cases. If you are OK with the price and work involved, it may be what you are looking for. Here is one link...

End of the World. Beginning of a new one. The Life of Amberwolf.

Amberwolf, My wife and I are both greatly saddened to see this. I know at least some of your dogs from previous posts and how much you loved them. You share so much of your life here, so I know you are strong and I don't worry about you surviving this as devestating as it is. From the posts...

Bafang MOTOR CHOICE-- What is going on with the Codes/rpm

I have a code 13 36v 350W I bought years ago from BMS Battery. It does 18 mph on 36v Bosch Fat Packs (41V fully charged). Good luck on your purchase and keep us posted. I've really enjoyed mine. It is very quiet and starts smoothly despite being sensorless.

    BPM 350w problem!

Does your BPM have hall sensors? If it does, you may be able to try running it sensorless to see if it is a hall sensor problem. I think the KU controllers have an option for sensorless mode.

Using Lithium Ion Safely in without BMS situation

I'm glad you were not hurt seriously. Going down at 40km under the best of circumstances is usually not a pretty picture. High siding (going over the front) is the least fun way to go down. You must be quite the acrobat.

    Wide tyres and rims?

+1 for the Maxxis Hookworm on the broken wheel. I have them on both ends. I run a 8fun BPM code 13 at low power (20-24 mph). For me these tires are comfortable and have resisted the flats my high end, but light, MTB tires got from even tiny thorns. My guess is the fellow in the video will...

A full suspension Tadpole Trike (from Peshawar, Pakistan)

It is great to see you back. I'm sorry to hear of your back problems. I'm am pretty blessed on that front, but my wife has suffered terribly. I like your doctor's advice to work on posture, exercise, etc., and that you are taking it. Surgery can really help, but it is a toss of the dice and...

Which battery charger is worth buying?

Search for "king charger". These are pretty good for the price. Similar looking devices are sold with different names. I bought mine at bmsbattery.com. You might search for 'bmsbattery" too to get reports on dealing with them. This will at least give you something to look at and you may...

    My Mongoose Hatchet DS E-Bike

I've never noticed the noisy clutch on my BPM (code 13). Perhaps some other BPM owners will weigh in or you can PM some of them. It may be that I just never hold the throttle near no-load. I'm guessing the cruise control may hold it there when little assist is needed. Does the problem go...

    My Mongoose Hatchet DS E-Bike

You're bike looks great. I haven't kept up with you. A BPM and it is on the rear wheel! I like it. Your torque arms look perfect for your rig. I may copy you. I'm still running your triple Fatpacks on my BPM. It is a code 13 and is only good for about 18mph on the flats. I did hit high...

KU123 vs Infineon controller for Bafang BPM

Welcome to ES! Tell us about your setup. This will give the experts here an understanding of what the controller has to handle. What type/voltage/watt hours is your battery pack? What model of the BPM are you running? What voltage/watts is it rated for. If you know, is it a code 13, code...

    Crimping tool

I use crimper pliers similar to the following on 15 and 30 amp Andersons. I get nice crimps that slide right into the housing. My technique, which I learned here, is to put the seam of the blade tube face down in the U shaped portion of the crimper. When finished, there is a nice divot on the...

New on the board and taking a risk!

You are probably beyond this point, but if not, try getting your pack open to the point you can test across individual cells. It may be that you have a major short that prevents a circuit across the final + and - wires. If this is the case, you should see some voltage at the individual cell...

    2 speed shifting tranny

Harold, You are well on your way, but here is another motorcycle tranny candidate for future consideration. It is the 40+ year old Hodaka transmission capable of handling the power of an early 70's vintage 100cc 2 stroke. It is still cheap and available on eBay. It is very narrow and works...

Have You Ever Accidentally Shorted a Battery ?

Smoked the charger with a backward connection and burned the ends off my Fluke probes by leaving it set to read amps. No KF fingers yet. I rearranged my Andersons so that it takes more than color matching to plug them in correctly. I don't want to argue the merits of different connectors when...
