    I broke down...bought a car.

As long as they choose a GOOD million dollar race boat and not a crap one I wont be the one shitting on them. I'm sure he's got a thick skin otherwise he wouldn't be posting this here.

Intention wasn't to be a jackass. I have a family member who got one and I told him the same as I wrote above. He loves the thing. If thats him, more power to him.

    I broke down...bought a car.

I've got nothing against a well designed and constructed car regardless of segment, but I've got to opine this one like I sees it. Late model 7's are saddled with the wacky iDrive controls, Benglesed up styling, schizo throttle pedal, idiotic shift logic, and counter-intuitive controls all...

Have you test driven it a decent amount of miles? Do you like the way it drives?

What is a crystalyte "sparrow" motor?

My son runs one at over 2000 watts. It survives fine but it is in a 16" wheel. Justin confirmed from his test notes the "gearing" of these is even higher than a 404 brushless motor. Some what like a 403 would be, so if you put one in a 26" wheel it is not going to be happy!

Putting out a feeler ... What is a good mid-range FS frame?

They do that to secure next years budget. IMO some of the ~$300ish Schwinns are good mid range frames. Upgrade components as they wear/break. Some people consider $1000+ bikes mid range though, so its all relative.

    This B*tch be crazy!

What did she say? I didn't catch it. See this is why people are willing to pay so much of their income to keep that nice cozy shell of steel and glass between them and the world full of crazies..

Putting out a feeler ... What is a good mid-range FS frame?

Not to mention.. In tough times less people can afford both an off road motorcycle and a street one. Dual sport sales are up this past year. Duals and scooters are the only two segments increasing sales right now. If you look at all the segments combined new unit sales is declining overall.

Did she try to throw an elbow at yoU?? My favorite is when they see a friend walking the other way and stop right in the middle to chat.

e bike crashes, whats your experiences

Sometimes its better to lock up your brakes to make sure your tires don't regain traction.. Like dog says you might not have time to think about that depending on how fast things happen. Or similarly in the case of a motorcycle if you step out the rear tire, sometimes its better to gas it some...

    Kid Friendly Lipo Controller Solution

Whatever you decide to do, make sure the kiddos watch some fire vids and talk to them, so they know what can happen and so they know what to do. And run the charge bags ON the vehicle also. Not just during charge time.

Does a Racing Bicycle Need a Steerable Front Wheel?

I'd think it would take several huge gyros to get a non-steering bike to handle. That seems a lot more complicated than just being able to turn the front wheel. What did you have in mind op?

    E-bikes running with the Gas-bikes

How much does a bunch of watt meters cost? Seems easy enough if you really wanted to level out the power. They are cheap enough that you could run them on all the bikes during the event, and not just use them for testing afterwards. So you can be sure. $20 each?

    E-bikes running with the Gas-bikes

Copper fill would be ideal, but you need something easy to measure or it won't work. Power out of the pack is the easy way. If you have an inefficient system, tough.

What concerns me more than the tire dust is brake dust. I'd bet that stuff is worse for lungs than tire dust. Not that I lose sleep over either of them.

Power sugestions for a tandem with two riders

I have a tandem with a rear hub motor. Imo they do really need a plug brake setup for downhill, which I'm going to need to setup soon. They are kind of sketchy otherwise.

    Ezip question

You know how loud those bikes are right? As long as you are ok with the noise you should be happy with the bike. If anything, go with a swap to a slower gear for hills. You can always volt up later if you want to get back some speed.
