    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Anyone know if it is possible to buy a replacement gate driver board from somewhere? After a number of years of not touching my cargobike with a broken max-e i finally got to some disassembly and troubleshooting. One of the gatedriver boards has some burnt components. Would probably be easy to...

Cargobike project. Very long john from chromo tubing

Hello Neutro As with all projects done the first time, there are always ways to improve. I have to admit that the most recent changes havent been covered very well in the thread. THey are however quite minor in the big picture. There are a bunch of things i would do differently, but some of them...

Cargobike project. Very long john from chromo tubing

Front wheel is nowadays 24" in a 26" fork. After changing the steer head and adjusting the fork angle. Rear wheel is still 21" moped size. Have mostly been using the bike, up to something like 11000km now. It just works. But as with all projects that you do the first time, there are naturally...

Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

Hi Madin88 If you go the beltdrive route, you can manufacture the large pulley from a metallic hub and spokes with a 3dprinted belttrack in segments depending on printersize. As there are so many teeth gripping on the large pulley, a properly made 3dprinted one out of abs/petg/ or even pla...

Hi power inverter for Nissan leaf motor. Dyno's 302.3hp p15

Hi Arlo Have been following your project from a distance. Congrats on the very good results! Got some questions about general ev-projects and the leafmotor, as you have been doing heavy diy and probably weighted most options. The power you have gotten from yours is well enough, but can that be...

120km/h long range full suspension 2wd foldable cargo bike

Looks like you have improved the concept quite abit to suit your needs, have you thought about purposebuilding a bike for the equipment you use instad of strapping it on a bicycle frame? Should improve your concept even further and look more refined. How is the legal bit in France? What are...

Is a fat bike good for Buffalo ny winters or a normal bike

Studded tyres (and I mean the best studded tyres that are available) is pretty much mandatory in my opinion if you want to reduce the risk of getting killed or injured in traffic during the winters here. Ice surfaces are more rule than exception, and large parts of the winter the temperature is...

    Slowest Motor 1500watt max?

When I built my cargobike there was a lot of naysaying about switching from a revolt 120pro to a dd hub. I was unhappy with the efficiency I got with the revolt, so I ordered a Leaf 1500 motor(5T I think). This was in a 26" wheel and the bike has a 18s large capacity battery. I usually run with...

    26 inch tire recommendations?

I think schwalbe big ben's are nice as well. I am running one of those in the front of my cargobike (the 2.15" version). I wanna recall they come on 2.15 and 2.35" widths. I wanted something more "baloony" than the marathon plus. Did run one 2.35" in the rear as well until I changed to moped...

    Electrify my commuter

Agree with wineboyrider, especially a DD hub will need the least maintenance. If your needs are road commuting, I would go with a ddhub any day of the week. I have done a few rc builds etc, but never had a bafang or similar. Regardless, it is always more mainenance and trouble with reduction...

Cargobike project. Very long john from chromo tubing

Planning to do an update on the bike very soon. I have just been riding. It has been working wonders. Not as many km's this summer as previous due to shorter commute distance. Think I am in the 8700km region now. Unfortunately shitbucket (photobucket) decided that linking pictures was no longer...

Idiots guide to water cooled mid motor making

I was in a hurry and printed those on another printer with not the most level platform, they were reasonably ok, but you might need to grind som imperfections off as the settings were not perfect. Been on vacation for two weeks now and will be home tomorrow. I hope the parts can be used...

That was an earlier designed and intentionally exploded to see how fast it would spin before it broke. From what I have seen of Laimers work, he seem knowledgeable. He also have made the best 3dprinted bearings I have seen so far with basic fdm.

    Bike plans 4 summer

Why so thick spokes? Thick spokes in a weak rim will result in insufficient spoke tension and you will break spokes from fatigue in the "spoke-elbow" after some time. Reason is that a spoke that isn't tensioned enough will lose the positive tension momentarily during different riding conditions...

Idiots guide to rewinding Revolt 120 pro

It is a bit rusty, but ive polished it once so it is not that bad now. Not in use atm, it sat on my retired winter tilt-trike. Printing a plug with the right measurement wouldn't be a problem, at least if I can have more than 1 try :D.

@Miles, what would be your educated guess for improvement by segmenting the magnets? What magnitude of change can be expected under the current circumstances with larsb's revolt?

Nylon print with fiberglass reinforcement? The mark 2 can do 320 mm x 132 mm x 154 mm, which should allow for a theoretical tube for the revolt to be built.

What a shame that the rotor gives such high losses. But surely explains the high loses at no load. I think the magnets + jacket is a small job compared to what you already have done. As usual there is more to it than first expected, I recognize this from many projects... Anyhow it has been a...
