    Disc Brake Spacer

Anyone know where to buy a 5 or 5.5mm spacer for a standard 6 bolt disc (Avid BB7 160mm)? I think the bolts are M5. I bought a MAC 350W front hub with 100mm dropout and 15mm recessed disc mounting surface. My bike had Deore on it with approx 10mm recessed disc mounting surface. I've...

    Tha Cadillac

I'm in the process of trying to buy stuff for a similar build. I have a steel frame road bike with Nuvinci N360 hub. Looking at the MAC front 350W and 52V cellman battery. I'm shooting to for top speed of 25mph and cruising and uphill speed closer to 20mph. Wish you luck. Looks to be...

New Bike Build -MAC 350W front kit / Nuvinci rear

I'm getting ready to buy a MAC 350W front hub kit and battery from cell-man for an old Kona Sutra steel frame touring bike I bought. I'm pairing the front hub with a Nuvinci N360 700c rear wheel. I'm hoping it will turn out to be a low maintenance and reliable everyday commuter (15 mi each...

    Unlucky...Lucky Day

Well recovering is going well but a bit slow for my liking. First session of PT today was painful but strangely in kind of a good way. Everyday the knee feels stronger but still a bit swollen which I think is the main limitation to my range of motion. It can bear about half my weight...

    Prodeco Phantom X2

Here's a copy of an email I got from the owner that modified the Phantom X to have a 48V Ping battery: "The Ping batter cost me $600, but I'm selling my Prodeco one and getting $300 back. Very easy install. Ping wires up the charger lines for you, so I had to only run the red n black (Anderson...

    Prodeco Phantom X2

I know another Phantom X owner has swapped out the 36V battery with a 48V 20AH ping with no problems using stock controller. He said at 48V it goes 27 mph on flat grade. My Phantom X recently got totalled in an accident. I'm not sure what I'll do with it now...motor still looks good but I...

    Unlucky...Lucky Day

I was about 3 to 4 feet from the curb, but its a wide lane probably like 12 ft. I was definitely on the edge of typical car traffic. Ski Helmet and Ski Goggles (yellow) being that its winter. I doubt he could see my eyes through my Goggles...I don't think he saw me period. Lots of hard...

    Ebike security

In addition to a chain, I was thinking about Pinhead locks mainly for the wheel and steering headset lock. Anyone try it? http://www.pinheadcomponents.com/

Why are so many trying to chase high speeds? Reality check

After my near death experience this morning it definitely puts things into perspective. Not really a left cross, but a left dart across the street from a side street while I was riding the main road. Classic T-bone which was painfully enough at lower speed. I was thinking about a speed...

    Unlucky...Lucky Day

Thanks, yeah I normally have my fingers resting on the brakes as habit. Funny thing is I just got new Avid BB7s that was going to use to replace the stock Promax discs this weekend. The Promax aren't terrible but they don't give you lock the wheel / fling you off the bike type of braking...

    Unlucky...Lucky Day

Had an accident around 7am this morning with my ebike and a S10 pickup truck... Guess who won? The bike is pretty much totalled. Front wheel bent, front disc brake warpped/locked, handlebars 90 degrees from wheel, derailleur/chain toast, and battery busted...that's just from a glance. Myself, I...

    E-bike in downtown Baltimore

Awesome. I live in the Baltimore Area and haven't seen another ebike yet either. I usually commute between Catonsville and Jessup (via Patapsco Valley beautiful commute). Occassionally to downtown via Gywnn Falls trail (also beautiful). Problem with Baltimore (like alot of US larger...

    First Build

I'm 200 lbs with usually a 20 to 30 lb load (computer/charger/clothes/lunch). Trying to get down to my normal 175-180 lb college weight by the end of the year. I don't really like the handling of a seat post rack mounted battery...it gets scary in low speed turns. I was thinking the...

    First Build

I'm looking for some advice on my first kit build. My background- 1st E-bike, Prodeco Phantom X, 36V 12AH LifePO4 DD 500W ~2000 miles I average 17 mph on my +30 mile roundtrip commute (up to 5 times/week) Route has some rolling hills for 2000 ft elevation change. Commute route goes through a...

Prodeco Phantom X first 40 miles

FYI I'm coming up on 1,000 miles on my first gen Phantom X. So far no breakdown issues...not even a flat tire! Knock on wood, knock on wood again.

Prodeco Phantom X first 40 miles

I also purchased one of the first Prodeco Phantom X bikes and have been very satisfied. After about 800 miles its still basically in new condition. Other than the need for a tune-up on the derailleur and disc brakes; I feel I'll be issue free for the next 1,000 miles.

    Prodeco Tech- Phantom X ebike

    Prodeco Tech- Phantom X ebike

My questions: Hello- I received one of your Phantom X bikes recently from BikeMania.biz. I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer: 1) The seat was not as pictured (black vented w/ red stitch); I assumed the change was due to availability issues which I can understand...

    Prodeco Tech- Phantom X ebike

I emailed Prodeco today based on some questions I had regarding the seat, battery, charger, and rack. They turned around some good answers to my questions in a few hours, didn't expect that :D. That's a good sign in my opinion. I took the bike out again for another 8 miles putting the total...

    Prodeco Tech- Phantom X ebike

I had a bit more time the other day to take the Phantom X around town. I'm around 200 lbs. The bike was around 65 lbs with some attached accessories and lock. My first trip was 12 miles total and the battery still shows the 50-100% charged green light (no precise battery gauge). The motor...

    Prodeco Tech- Phantom X ebike

I got finally got my bike on Friday! I'm pretty happy with it minus a few issues. I came with a thumb throttle with cruiser and handle shifter...I think I actually like this change. Others not so much. Minor issues: Disc brakes need adjustment being too soft...kind of expected this. Seat...
