    Motorcycle with Pedal assist

I'd like to make a light electric motorcycle somewhere in the 4 to 12 KW range and I want it to have pedals with torque and Cadence sensing. But there's really no reason at that power level to have the pedals integrated into the drivetrain. My power input would be trivial compared to the motor...

Pole Count and Reduction Ratio for Q128H hub motor

Does anyone know the pole count and gear reduction ratio for the Q128H rear hub motor? I'm setting up my S-LCD3 unit and need that info to get the speedometer reading correctly. I will email BMSbattery to ask the same question but i thought a post here would be helpful for anyone else who may...

Ezee geared hub motor - slipping?

My motor seems to be slipping under torque. I've taken it apart and have marked the large internal gear that is pressed into the hub, then ran the motor and got it to slip. Opened it up again and checked my marks and the alignment of the gear in the hub had not changed, so that's not moving...

    S12SH Controller questions

I was curious about the new BMSBattery.com Sine-Wave controllers, and also looking for a little different setup for my bike. I've been running an Ezee geared hub motor with a Lyen Infineon 12fet controller, CAv3 and a 48v pack. I've been dissatisfied with some aspects of the throttle control and...

    Boost/Turbo throttle?

I wasn't sure what to write for the topic of this thread/question... I'm wondering if there exists a throttle that has normal operation, but that you can then "break" through the end of the throttle travel to a "turbo" setting? I would like to have my ebike set up so that full throttle gives...

Lurchy Power Limiting - way to smooth it out?

I'm running a 48v em3ev pack, lyen 12 fet mk2 controller and an ezee rear hub motor with a CAv3. I have no pedelec system, just throttle only control. If no limits are in place, the motor will pull upward of 1500 watts peak and goes through battery pretty fast, plus that's just not the biking...

Looking for lightweight geared hubmotor ~350-500w - Cute?

I have installed/built 3 ebike kits so far for my wife and I, and swapped them onto a few different bikes. I've had 2 large/heavy direct drive front hub motors at 36v, and one ezee geared rear hub motor at 48v. If i don't limit it, my ezee will pull around 1500w peak but it's more than i need...

My ebike is too torquey, how do i settle it down a bit?

This may be an uncommon question. I just put together an ebike. I'm building a mini-velo cargo bike. It's an Origin-8 Bully that i'm building large front and rear racks on and i'm using it as a commuter and cargo bike. I put an ezee geared motor in the back wheel with a 48v battery and an...

Lacing Ezee Rear Hub in 20" rim

I've looked for info on this and found it surprisingly hard to find. I have an Ezee geared rear hub motor and i want to run disc brakes on it and lace it into a 20" rim. I know it's common to run hub motors radially laced in 20" rims, but is this ok even when running a disc brake? The bike is...
