My wife has the Sun heavy duty trike with an ebikekit geared front motor. and a 20 AH battery. Has worked fine for about 5 years without any problems. Reliable and climbs 4-5% hills.

Yes that definitely helps. I gotta wait till my next pension check at the end of the month then............whoopie! Simply brilliant stuff, as always.

I finally got to read this and I would like to order. Let me be clear: You only supply the metal parts and we need to get the plastic enclosures 3-d printed at a place of our choosing (like Shapeways)? You do not 3-d print yourself.

Edit: Just read where you got your printer. This...
I have always had concerns about SPD type pedals on any 2 wheeler. I have ridden my tadpole trike for about 10 years with them with no problems at all. As long as you don't have to balance, clipless pedals are simply great and prevent leg suck!
Of course, trikes are safe also compared to 2...
Well that is 'cause Phoenix has that "dry heat"! Here in the South, the heat comes with humidity, and the only place to survive this is in a pool! That is my story and I'm sticking to it!

I had several opportunities to test out the Wang and it did make a difference, particularly in top speed. Acceleration not very different but 52 volts instead of 36 raises top speed by about 5 mph. Not bad for about 35 bucks.

I ran my trike on 6 36 volt Bosch packs a while back. Then they were $40 apiece and had about 3 amps each. Soon after the price shot up to about $100 per pack and made the venture non-functional. Oh well!

Well it works! At 53 volts there is a noticeable increase in power, mostly at the higher speed end. There was some increase in torque, but not a huge one at the low speed and start up end of the spectrum. Next ride (later this week) I will experiment with the LVC and Amps variable resistors. I...
Help!!!! I was setting up my Wang for the first time and I get output voltage equal to input voltage. My 36 volt battery registers 41.5 on my VOM, and my output voltage also registers the same. How do you adjust the variable resistors so that you get an actual boost? Can this show up just on the...
Last week I took a turn too sharp in our bike trail parking lot (1/2 mile of twisty paths) and found myself going over the curbs, which are lined with large stones. The trike went right over them without damage to me or it. Suspensions really make a difference when you need them.

For sure, DA and amberwolf, the older you get the more wheels you need. Trikes rule for winter even down south here. Temps in the 50-60 at times. I know, not New York cold and no snow, but occasional ice midwinter. Trikes keep us safe.

I'm not sure that this is going to be helpfulbut at least you warned us about EBO not being helpful to your cause. It solves my problem of who not to order from. An axle should not break under normal ebike conditions. That motor looks a bit like a Bafang. Is that the brand?
If so I know who not...
And AgniusM is a very clever engineer. I had his first set of battery holders for the A123 cells and they worked great. I am in the process of collecting money to get a 12S set of these 8P ones for the new Sony 18650 cells. Soon, I hope.

I been flying electric model aircraft since the '60s when Bob Boucher started Astroflight. I had to quit around 2000 when I almost crashed one straight into the polo field owners Jeep. Time for model trains then. Easier to see.

Sorry to say I believe Lightfoot Cycles is no more. I think they closed last year. Really too bad since they had some excellent designs.

Interesting! There is another Lightfoot Cycles, but they are not the ones in Montana where they built their own designs. Those folks were really...
