mac motor pumping under high load

Thanks, Well Im not running the same power through the MAc as the MXUS. I lowered the amps to 25 and watts to 1000 with the CA.. The motor spins smoothly with the wheel off the ground but as soon as It's under load it surges and has no power.

mac motor pumping under high load

Hi guys , I have the same problem. Recently bought a Mac 12T ( slow wind from Paul. I'm using my 2014 Lyen 12 fet controller.. Controller worked very well with a big MXUS 3000 going all the way up to 6Kw. Now when I use it with my mac, it's a little jumpy but it works fine when the tireis...

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Hey All, I'd be curious to hear from people who are using Adaptto with geared motors like Mac/BMC Particularly wanting to know if they run a lot smoother then with Infineon style controls? Gear motors can run a little rough using square wave controllers like infineon. Does the Addaptto...

    Infineon regen slip mode

I'll do a test with regards to the battery So i'll do a test with regards to the battery SOC. It really seems to do it across the board . I even tried changing the Regen voltage from 60 to 75 And it made no difference. Maybe I need to set the region voltage lower. My battery is 58.8 hot...

    Infineon regen slip mode

Hi, I have a ( Lyen ) Infineon 12 fet set to slip mode regen. It works well in that it does what it's supposed to by automatically regening when the throttle is disengaged. But it acts weird .. It's as if it's pulsing on and off randomly; it's not a steady feeling. As the throttle is...

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

Hey Guys, Just got my mxus 3000 up and running. I'm at about 5000 watts peak.. Instant smile! Wants to wheelie like crazy.. Im using a holmes 19" with a 2.25 veerubber from treatland. Under normal riding the controller/ motor get warm.. Which means on a big uphill I might have heat issues...

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

Hi guys, I just bought a MXUS 4T and a Lyen ( infineon style ) 12 fet controller. Does anyone know if the phase and hall sensors on the MXUS 3000 match with infineon style controller?

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

Yeah I know it was just a little wishful thinking because I'd like to use the gate belt drive which would require a splined set up

Mac 10T vs GNG direct to rear wheel

I have been wondering for a few weeks now the differences in efficiency between using a geared hub motor or similarly powered single reduction mid motor ( not going through the detailer ) If using 1000 Watts.. And both the mid motor and hub geared motor have a 6:1 reduction.. How do they...

    Removing 10s from 37.7 v EM3EV batt

Ahh ok I see where I was wrong. Removing 1 cell per parallel group is too difficult I supposed If I had a 24 V motor.. Can I remove the whole group ( creating 30 volt pack ) and limit the controller to 28 volts. I just want the setup to work for a protoype

    Removing 10s from 37.7 v EM3EV batt

I'm trying to lower the ah while keeping the voltage the same. In the image you can see there is a group sticking out making the battery a " p " shape and that affects my location choices. I want to locate the battery at the bottom of the triangle. I want to remove that 10s group making the...

    Removing 10s from 37.7 v EM3EV batt

I thought 10s 5p means. 10 x 3.7 = 37 volts. x 2.75 ah Which is 37 volts 13.77 ah So each series group is 37 volts. Removing 1 group removes 2.75 ah of capacity. And thus Im left with 37 volts 11 ah These are samsung 29 e cells. Is my calculation wrong?

    Removing 10s from 37.7 v EM3EV batt

For packaging reasons I want to remove a 10 cell segment from my 37.7 V 13.7 amp hour battery from Paul. I'm just not sure how the BMS works. Can I simply remove the cells and remove the wires from the BMS? Do I need a new BMS?thanks!

    Pedal assist proof of concept

Thanks teklektic and Chalo, I looked at the CA manual but it doesn't really get into depth as to exactly how it works. I just need to decide wether an arduino can function or if I should build my own PCB. I am hoping to recruit the help of some college students who study electromechanical...

    9C hall sensor/ wiring question?

Update: I replaced all the wiring ( from controller to motor) with quality US-made wires. Replaced all three hall sensors with brand-new Honeywell SS41 units. Purchased a better soldering iron and took great care with all of my work. Used gorilla glue for the whole sensors. I have a...

    9C hall sensor/ wiring question?

Thanks for your reply, I spoke with a very well-educated electro mechanical engineer and they said the likelihood is either a wiring issue or heat damage hall sensors.. I guess I kind of could of figured that out myself but it was good to hear confirmed by someone in the know. Since the...
