Does anyone know which wire goes to which pin on the display connector? I can’t find the info in the manual. Thanks.

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I’ve managed to fry my controller whilst charging. As Moscow is in full lockdown there is no chance of getting it repaired any time soon. Does anyone know somewhere in the U.K. that would repair it for me? Thanks in advance.

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Thanks. I’m wondering if I can get someone local who specialises in PCB repairs to fix it. Sending it back to Russia is a real pain. Has anyone had success with doing that or are these controllers to specialised?

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Hi everyone. I’ve just been balancing the battery pack on my bike with a Max-E through the BMS. Was fine an hour ago, then went to check on it and everything is off and won’t switch on again. Has anyone else had this happen? Did you resolve it? Don’t really know what to do next. Thanks.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-41034492 Riding an illegal bike will get you in serious trouble if you have an accident. This would have been reported and dealt with as the tragic accident it was if this lads bike had been legal. I've build two illegal bikes that I ride here in...

    Anyone got a Schlumpf drive?

The trouble is that there is only one UK supplier (who gave me the quote) and the pound has taken a proper beating since the morons voted for Brexit.

    Anyone got a Schlumpf drive?

I've been quoted £650-700 for a high speed drive here in the U.K. Which is quite a lot of money just to be able to pedal along a bit faster. Not sure I can justify it to be honest.

    Anyone got a Schlumpf drive?

Thanks. I looked at the Patterson but I don't think they make one to fit an 83mm BB and I think it is operated by a cable? I would much prefer the neat Schlumpf shifting system.

    Anyone got a Schlumpf drive?

Thanks. I'm thinking of the high speed drive really, that way I can have a 40t on the front for easy pedalling if I have a motor/controller failure and a reasonable pedal at up to 40 mph. I could get reasonable pedalling speed with the 1.65 drive though so it all depends on what's available. The...

    Anyone got a Schlumpf drive?

I can't fit anything bigger than a 48t on the front as I've run out of space and the smallest freewheel I can find is 16t at the rear.

19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

You know wether you supplied the items on your website or not. If you are showing something as an example of a service you provide when you had nothing to do with it, it implies that you can't work to that standard as if you could you'd show your own build.

I've found a UK supplier now (London recumbents) and have emailed them no reply as yet :(

19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Yes, my wheels were built by Carl Abrams. I can't remember exactly where I posted the original picture, I think it was on this thread but can't be sure, it was a couple of years ago now.

    Anyone got a Schlumpf drive?

I'm coming to the conclusion that I need a Schlumpf high speed drive for my Raptor 140 as I can currently only pedal up to low 20s mph with a 48t front sprocket. It's used as a commuter mainly and I really need to be able to add some pedal effort up to around 30mph. ATS make a slightly cheaper...

    Commuter...Hub or mid drive?

If you need to rely on it to get to work then use a hub motor. Too much to go wrong with a mid-drive. I've got both, I use my mid-drive for proper off road riding and the hubbie to commute.

It is my understanding that the OVS effect only happens once you have reached maximum speed for you motor. Therefore you can leave it on and it won't make any difference to your power consumption until you reach higher speeds.

Middrive GNG Gen2 (2015) something is wrong, help please.

Broken motor shaft? Not a very common problem I would say. I've been running a couple of GNG kits over the last 2years and had no issues with them even at 2kw. What were the other problems you found? My brother has just completed a build using a GNG motor and a modified lightningrods kit so it...

Does any one know the pin out for the display/controller connector? It looks like only 4 of the six wires are used (blue and green not wired in) is this correct?

19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

I don't know about fitting a motorcycle tyre to a bicycle rim, I think you may have a problem getting the bead to sit properly. You say you don't go fast but 30mph is very fast if you fall off! Motorcycle tyres are much safer than bicycle tyres, more grip, less chance of punctures and...

19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

I think all in for both wheels built and ready to fit was about £450. Not cheap but high quality stuff never is. I got the best components available though so I'm sure you could trim the cost a bit. I think the labour was about £110.

19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Cwah, these guys can supply everything you need. http://www.central-wheel.co.uk I used this company: http://www.m.abrammotorcycles.co.uk to build my wheels, he supplied the rims (Excel 19x1.85) and had the angles correctly drilled for my Cromotor. I'm very happy with the result. Bear in mind...
