    The concept scales well, and lends itself to electrification. Saw this a couple years ago in the Netherlands. By my count: 1 set of twins, 2 little kids, 2 adults, and 1 dog ... with room left over. Probably wouldn't give it 5-stars for handling, though.

    Re fit ... you are right, “loose” would not be good. Really, need a clean sliding fit ... picture a 1/8 inch hole and 1/8 inch shaft ... so there would be good contact, but allowing movement.

    From personal experience with several folders, in both mid- and front-drive configurations — take Chalo’s advice, it is spot on. Folders can be great bikes, and electric folders both fun and useful ... but they do not benefit from high power (high torque or top speed) setup.
