    BBS02 750W controller dead

So you are saying that if you put out hard earned cash for one of these, then you should be quite happy with a catastrophic failure in the first 20km? If you're happy with that, then why don't you put your money where your mouth is and buy this kit off me? Less than 20km. I haven't even peeled...

    BBS02 750W controller dead

I'm sure they'll be thrilled they had the confidence to go with this drive when the controller dies in 20 or so kilometers. Even so that it has been proven possible to fix it yourself, I'm sure that people are buying these kits to ride, not to fix(repeatedly?). Paul from em3ev.com is sending a...

    How to contact Bafang company?

I have bought a BBS02 750w kit from em3ev, and with less than 20km it has died. I have tried to contact em3ev and after multiple emails a reply from Moon, I was told Paul was on his way to the USA and would contact me when he could. Aparently no one else there can help. So I have decided to...

    bbs02 installation question

I have hydro brakes, so I'm not using the ebrakes, but I hooked one up for a test. When I activated the ebrake I couldn't hear the click coming from the motor.

    bbs02 installation question

After sending a few emails to em3ev I have just received a message from Moon. Paul can't answer my technical questions because he is on the way to the USA. So much for going with a "trusted" supplier. I could be stuck for a while. I should have gone with an AFT kit.

    bbs02 installation question

I shouldn't have written that so early. Just after I posted that I went out to the bike, turned it on and gave the back wheel a quick spin with the throttle and hopped on to ride around the yard. Dead. Nothing from the PAS or throttle. The display was still on with no error messages. Every time...

Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

I am using the em3ev supplied tail for their triangle battery. I just went to have a good look at it. I had a kink in the join to the motor wires, but testing after straitening it out was still no good.

Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

I have hydrolic brakes, and so I didn't have the ebrake levers connected. I tried connecting one and activating it, when I did there was no click coming from the motor. If I flick the throttle, every 20 or so times the motor will give a twitch.

Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

Dreaded slight click, dead controller problem? I have just yesterday installed a BBS02 750w kit on a Giant Trance. A few kms for a test ride and all was good. Today I turned the bike on, picked up the back wheel and gave it a spin with the throttle. No problem, then jumped on to ride around the...

    bbs02 installation question

I have just intalled a BBS02 on a Giant Trance. Same problem with the lug for the bolt. I filed the metal down on an angle just enough to get the motor flush with the down tube. I also had to take off 1mm of the top of the lower RH swingarm bolt. May only be specific to the Trance, but...

    Samsung INR18650-29E C rate

From the em3ev site "These new cell types are the High Energy INR18650-29E (NCA Cell, 3C Max rated cell, with approx 2.8Ah nominal Capacity)", but on the same page (small triangle bat) it states "The 29E cell is 2C rated and we recommend a Max of closer to 1.5C.". As I said previously another...

Hi, can anyone tell me a definitive C rate for INR18650-29E cells? I have read 1.5C, 3C, 6C, 8C. Which one?

Your Creation's Before & After Pics

The bike has arrived at it's current state from me "going with the flow", that is putting on whatever was cheapest/best for what was needed as I built it. I got ripped off on the bike itself. It was an ebay special in Sydney, ~280km away, so I asked my sister (non bike person) to pick it up...

    Full Suspension Rear Rack Modded

TC, have you contacted Grin about it? If they are having trouble with the new batch of controllers, maybe yours has a known issue. I sent another email to Grin asking how its going this morning, no reply yet. I placed the order for the controller five weeks ago. I'm going to buy a Lyen...

    Full Suspension Rear Rack Modded

What model controller is it? I've been waiting for a C7240-CN controller from Grin for weeks now. They sent the rest of the order to me, but keep pushing back the release date of the controllers due to "firmware problems". On the controller page of their web site the ETA for the controller is...
