Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Dillinger 4 comes in two versions, the 27tpi with wire bead and flat studs, the other is the 120tpi folding bead and hollow studs. I've got the 27tpi version and I'm not happy with the ice grip. Which one have you got?

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Hey Ade, do you use studded tires on the fatty? Which ones?

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Yeah, it's my 3rd in half a year, looking for a bike that suits my needs properly. Thankfully ebike supply in Norway is a bit low, so I'm able to sell them on without much loss (: I rarely see other people on ebikes, so I wouldn't say they're particulary popular here. Scandinavia is good I...

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Hi ScooterMan101 Yeah, most shops are willing to ship ebike parts to Norway. I've previously built a bike with a small hub motor. But I wanted mid motor this time, so I bought a slightly used fatbike with BBS01 a few days ago. I prefer a pretty lightweight bike with good range over speed, so...

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Thanks teklektik, I just sold my bike at a decent price, so it seems modifying it won't be necessary any more (: So I'm looking for a new bike. I'm considering both getting a prebuilt one or building one. Is there any other motors that will suit me better? I'm guessing the Continental and...

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Yeah, seems you're right, there's no way to adjust that motor to my needs. Battery life has been good for me btw. Right now I'm almost tempted to spend way too much money one the Rubbee (1.0), that way I can use my road bike and FS too. But with 14.4v battery it probably doesn't like climbs...

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Been looking into this and all I can find is speed hacks :/

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

Yeah, I've read there are hacks available for gen2 now, removing the 25kph speed limit is not a priority btw. I really would prefer if Bosch could handle this, I'd like to keep the warranty on the bike a bit longer (:

Will Bosch modify their motors for the disabled?

I've been sick for a couple of years and I'm not responding very well to physical activity. I got tired of my old Q100 build and swapped it for a Cannondale Tramount with the Bosch mid motor. In retrospect that wasn't a wise decision. The old bike had a cadence only sensor that provided...

    eBikes for the disabled!

Enjoyable read! An ebike has to be the ideal disability vehicle if one is able to use it. You can end up in better shape rather than slowly fading away on 4 wheels.

    What controller for Q100H 201rpm?

Hey Ron, nice to hear, feedback like this assures me all my posting is worth it (: I'm sure you'll be happy with the Q100H. The noise of the Q100H+s06s wasn't that bad, I was just so unfortunate to have experienced the Q100 first. Once you're up to speed the noise isn't very noticeable. And the...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

I started another thread to get advice on controller for the q100h, here it is http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=63451 But I got tired of my new and way too expensive Q100H wheel so I tightened up and reinstalled the China built Q100 wheel along with the S06S. Now everything...

    What controller for Q100H 201rpm?

I exaggerated a bit, it only came to a complete halt once, the 2 other times I started pedaling but it would have stalled. It didn't feel good at all :-o This could be the reason the Gnd came lose, but the hour and a half of single track 2 days ago could have something to do with it as well. It...

    What controller for Q100H 201rpm?

Had another ride today, my current setup (ku65+q100h) didn't get me up hills I could go 10kph throttle only with the previous setup (s06s+q100), I actually came to a complete stop on 3 different hills. At the last stop the bike died altogether, assumed it was another burned fuse. But it wasn't...

    What controller for Q100H 201rpm?

Thanks, nice to know what's to be expected from these controllers. I guess I'll have another look at the hall wiring. I'm absolutely sure the wires are paired up so the colors are matching, but I think I've read the wires could be wired incorrectly to the motor. I just read this one and will...

    What controller for Q100H 201rpm?

I've been running my bike with Q100 201rpm and S06S (integrated in bottle battery) for a while, but for various reasons I needed a new motor and got the Q100H 201rpm. Q100+S06S was quiet, as fast as can be expected and had good torque. Then I swapped the motor, Q100H+s06s: a little loss of...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

Q100+s06s: nice torque, almost no noise. But I suspect the motor is a bit worn after running it with S06p. Bad wheel build. Q100H+s06s: a little loss of torque, more top speed, quite a bit of noise and vibration felt through the pedals. Q100H+ku65: current setup. Lost a lot of torque, not as...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

It's a bit of noise with the Q100H and ku65. Top speed has dropped from 30kph to 25kph and hill speed is much lower, this is compared to Q100H+s06s.

going electric, converting one of my bikes

So, I've got another fuse and tested for a little while. And I'm not as happy as I planned to be. Now that I've been able to increase the power a bit the noise has increased. And when I stop pedalling, it takes way to long before power is cut, like ~5 secs :/ And max speed is lower with the new...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

Yeah, thread is getting long, don't have to read all 5 pages (: At first I was running a Q100 201rpm motor with the S06P controller, which was recommended by BMS, that didn't work very well at all. Lots of noise and vibration. After a while I got a whining noise as well, as if something had...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

Had a look at the motor, and it's got a label saying 201rpm. Went for a test ride, starting with a little less than 90% battery. With hand throttle I get 30kph, that's 2 kph more than I got from the old Q100 with a fresh battery. I've read about others getting 30kph from the Q100H. So I guess I...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

All I did yesterday was swapping the rear wheel. The old motor was really quiet and I took care putting the Hall wires in the plug when I installed it the first time, so that leads me to believe the Hall wires are paired correctly. Had another look at the no load speed, battery is at like 90% I...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

I checked the no load speed briefly, it was about 35kph. Will check again later to get the exact figure. Yeah, cutting the connectors is probably the best, it will allow me to cut the wires to a decent length too. The KU65 should handle this motor without any problems? I could order a new...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

I finally received my Q100H (201rpm) built into a Mavic 119 rim from my LBS. The spokes and build job ended up costing twice what the hub+rim did! The wheel is installed, nice to have a well built wheel with proper offset. The whining noise is gone, it could have been caused by the axle nut on...

going electric, converting one of my bikes

Got this freewheel, DNP Epoch http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007CCBJ5O. I took care installing it, making sure it was threaded properly. I'll get the proper tool, take it off and do the spin-the-wheel-exercice again to see if the sound is gone. Current setup: q100 36v 201rpm s06s...
