Kepler Bottom Bracket Friction Drive For Sale (Finally)

Will this work on a hardtail mountain bike if the BB to tire distance is in range?

My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

I'm in Seattle and about to place an order to place an order for the AM1000. Would anybody be interested in a Group Buy for the PNW?

My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

I'm considering one of these bikes. How does one customize a bike? I see a bunch on Alibaba, but I don't see any way to customize. Of the bikes on Alibaba, they seem to range from 2200 - $3800 before shipping, but I don't see much difference in the specs for many of them. What am I missing?

    Seattle Commuter/Trail Build

Yeah, I'm thinking I may pony up for the BBSHD, just for the ease of installation and completeness of the kit. It's an extra $400 or so, but it would probably save me hours of screwing around with electronic connectors and such. Do you have yours "hot-rodded" to achieve 38mph or is that at 750W?

    Seattle Commuter/Trail Build

When I go to purchase anything from the cyclone-tw website I get shipping charges of 100x the price of the item....So that $469 kit doesn't fit my budget. It looks like it would be $439 shipped from Luna for the 3k kit though....not bad, though they don't include brake sensors or PAS.

    Seattle Commuter/Trail Build

Don't you need a special frame to use the 4kw/coaxial version? It doesn't look like it's compatible with a typical BB shell. I believe the Bafang Ultra would also require some machining and custom mounts, right? If there's one thing I'd like to avoid it's that sort of thing. I don't mind...

    Seattle Commuter/Trail Build

I was looking at the Cyclone on Luna Cycle. Where is the 4kw available? Can I get it without incurring high shipping costs? I'm not too worried about noise as long as it doesn't sound like a gas motor or anything crazy.

    Seattle Commuter/Trail Build

I'm looking to build a relatively cheap mid-power (1500W or more) mid-drive. I don't think I'd need to ever go much over 35mph, but I suppose it's hard to know for sure. I have a Bike (Cannondale Cujo 2) that's got 27.5x2.8" tires and decent components (Disc Brakes, 1x11 drivetrain). It's...

    "New" Polaris E-Bike

I think the motor may be lacking, but the frame could be a good one. A poster on another forum said he put a luna cyclone into it and it's amazing...So I'm thinking I get a cheap e-bike for now and once the battery goes I upgrade with a cyclone kit and better battery.

    "New" Polaris E-Bike

What I'm hoping to gain insight into is, how bad is it if the company behind your e-bike goes out of business? Obviously, you lose any warranty, and if something goes wrong you're more or less on your own. Are the proprietary parts impossible to replace/repair or is it fairly manageable? Or...

    "New" Polaris E-Bike

Someone on craigslist near me is selling "new" and "like new" Polaris E-bikes for $750-$1000. The Polaris e-bike is division is defunct, but was purchased by "Power In Motion" bicycles, and they sell batteries that are supposedly compatible with Polaris e-bikes, but they charge $499 for a...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

The kit is linked here: https://www.yescomusa.com/26in-Rear-Electric-Bicycle-Motor-Conversion-Kit-48v-1000w.html. It's the non-striped motor, 48V 1000W, LCD screen, comes with a disk brake. It came with an instruction manual, but a terrible one. There isn't even an accurate pin out for the...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

That would make more sense to me, but my bottom bracket cup is flush with the shell on the non-drive side so there's nowhere to mount the ring. If it were to mount there it would register forward pedaling as backwards and vice-versa.

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

If I had realized from the outset what a pain Pedal Assist would have been I probably wouldn't have bothered, but I don't like to give up once I set out to do something. Furthermore, I'm enjoying the project, and a few challenges here and there are part of the fun. What does pedal assist have...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

I actually decided a few days ago that a new crank was a bad idea. At first I thought my crank was "pressed" and that the chainrings were not detachable, so I figured I could upgrade the crank for $30-$50 and solve my pedal assist issue all at once.... I've moved on to trying to mount the...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

So I was well on my way to finishing the build, but I've hit a snag installing the pedal assist. First, the left crank arm was stripped, but I managed to get it off. Once I got the pedal assist sensor in place and right crank arm back on the bike I realize that the magnetic disk won't fit...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

I know have the brakes and shifters all set up. I've connected all the wires and the kit is working. All that's left is to wire everything up on the bike, mount the controller and lcd display, and install the PAS sensor. To test the kit I hooked up a 12s1p pack using the HXT connectors. They...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

I managed to get everything mounted on the handlebars that I'm relatively satisfied with. The twist throttle is on the right handlebar along with a trigger shifter mounted somewhat awkwardly below it. The reason its mounted so awkwardly is because it needs to clear the wheel when making a...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

I'm 100% okay with going to a 21 speed setup. As of right now, with the gears shifter set to the smallest gear in the back the chain lines up with the second smallest gear on the freewheel. Is fixing that just a matter of adjusting the derailleur? If I were to take it to a bike shop to get the...

Build Help - Commuter (10Mi RT) For GF. (Update: Now for me)

So I slapped the tube/tire on the wheel, mounted it on the trike, and got it reasonably true (which took a bit of work). Next time I build a wheel I'll be sure to go 1/2 turn at a time for each spoke. The Yescom hub came with a 7 speed freewheel, and I'm replacing an 8 speed freewheel, but...

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

About how much do those Sabvoton's go for? I thought the Adaptto mini-e would pair nicely with the MXUS so I got a group buy started here: http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63612
