Commuter Booster - <1kg Friction Drive

I had a piece of nylon 66 to hand at the time of the build which I knew would work and Acetal and Delrin tend to be used for bearings/bushes. Nylon 6 is too brittle and will most likely crack.

Commuter Booster - <1kg Friction Drive

at the moment it's fun, I cycled to work on it this morning and used it a few times and it performed well. Turning the throttle when I'm at 15 mph - 18 mph seems to work best. I have the ESC set to soft acceleration mode so yes speed increases gradually as I twist the throttle.

I took the servo tester apart, see the last image. I removed the potentiometer and inserted a jumper lead from the input signal pin to the potentiometer socket centre pin location. See link and image below. http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=22187&start=165#p339599

OK project completed...for now that is. Would like to replace the nylon to black and not sprayed black and complete the profiling so that it's got rounded edges all round, and will probably get some heat treated ali too. :D

I remember seeing a stealth bike with a faulty display unit on eBay a few months back, I think it went for about £4k.

Nice bike, great job. I've been looking at the stealth bomber bike but silly daft prices to buy one. How much juice do you get from the li poly batteries? I found your ebay listing today, I'll share it on my fbook page and I'll keep an eye on it see what it goes for. Good luck.
