Alternate source for cyc x1 stealth chain roller?

I'm looking for the x1 stealth roller specifically since it's 12mm wide, which is what I need for my application. It has great bearings, is relatively small diameter and compact. Problem is that cyc wants$50 for shipping to Canada.... Anyone know where else it can be found...

    High-strength freewheels or freehubs

There no way that anyone is putting 250nm through a bicycle... not even relevant. 100kg on .175m crank produces 171nm , assuming 1.7 gearing that's 292nm , assuming 26in wheels it's about 96mn at the wheel... Maximizing drive torque for acceleration would be at the limit of wheelie-ing...

    High-strength freewheels or freehubs

I don't think it would ever need parts 😁

CYC X1 Pro 219H to bicycle chain mod

I used to run the tangent setup with a 10 speed chain and there were never any issues. It's going to be roughly the same gearing as it was then. With the 219 setup I had 11t x 68t reduction, with this im going to have 13t x 38t. I found the 219 to be very noisy. No real benefit imo seeing...

CYC X1 Pro 219H to bicycle chain mod

Ive never really been a fan of the 219 chain and wished that it came with bicycle chain. So I finally designed a carrier to mate with the smallest single speed cog (13t) I could find. I won't be able to have it heated as low but that's ok. Printed this model to test. Works well, chain line...

Custom build & salvage of Tangent remnants- Astro 3220 mated to a CYC X1Pro reduction

Ferret, I'll take a look back. I don't think I modeled the cyc, just used caliper measurements to build out my parts from there. I'll post those for you if that's the case. I only had the cyc reduction to work with. I can't comment on other dimensions.

Custom build & salvage of Tangent remnants- Astro 3220 mated to a CYC X1Pro reduction

Yes, still running the hv160 with the ca3 with the astro 3220. In the range of 60x reduction in lowest gear. It's a beast. The unit hasn't so much as skipped a beat yet. Only problem I get is chain slipping on the rear cassette under hard acceleration... up hill lol. So I try and take it...

    Any durable half-twist throttle recommendations?

Yes, shifter. It's a bit of a reach which means I have to let off the throttle, but not let go of the bar. I don't mind it, it's a good insurance policy against a mindless shift under power...

    CYC Pro Gen1 Belt drive

Great setup. Do you think a gates carbon drive or Veer belt conversion would have held up? They are quite a bit narrower.

    GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

I have the steel gears and I would call it loud. I used to run the tangent which made a different sound, but more people tend to notice this gear box as I come up on them on trails or the street... I would be curious to know what the brass gears sound like, or helical cut gears...

    Any durable half-twist throttle recommendations?

I had a genius moment. I took my Magura and sawed it down. The rest of the grip is now the dual clamped grip (also sawed down). Pics soon

    Any durable half-twist throttle recommendations?

I have the magura, like you I come from motorcycles as well. Could never quite get used to it so I went half twist. I like to be able to bunny hop, manual, pedal wheelie etc. And I find that half twist is the best of both worlds for me. I also tried a thumb, no chance I could get used to...

    Any durable half-twist throttle recommendations?

I like this setup. Where did you find the half twist portion? The esthetic of the key portion bothers me a bit tho😁

Custom build & salvage of Tangent remnants- Astro 3220 mated to a CYC X1Pro reduction

My original tangent unit internals grenaded a couple years ago. I decided that since the reduction would be impossible to reverse engineer (even more difficult to source parts now) to the desired tolerances I would take a more conventional planetary-type reduction and mate it to the Astro. This...

    Any durable half-twist throttle recommendations?

The grip portion of my throttle failed. The actual twist throttle portion continued to work just fine. After the piece broke (looks to be made of cheap pot metal or some form of shiny cheese) it essentially functioned like a full twist which I dont like. I could feel the grip part start to fail...

Sourcing 219 chain quick/master rivet links?

Can't for the life of me find a 219 chain master or quick link anywhere. Lots of places sell the chains and breakers but nobody sells a quick link or riveter/link. Any help? tks!

Took apart my Astro 3220, need help

So I decided to take it apart. I need to modify the shaft. I have a specific set of drawings that I've made. Essentially there will be -shorten the shaft (cut off a portion) -a new notch for the retention/antirotation pin -Turn the shaft so that it's diameter is a bit smaller - a couple...

    Astro 3220 shaft removal?

The response from Astro is that the shaft can not be removed. My other thought is to use the motor itself like a lathe.... Fix it in a vice and essentially turn the shaft to the dimensions I need. Any pointers with that ?

    Astro 3220 shaft removal?

I've got a 3220 with the 3/8" shaft. I want to modify the shaft and the easiest way to potentially would be to remove and reinsert.... Or have a brand new shaft fabricated and then inserted as a replacement. Any ideas if this can be done without damaging the internal? I've never opened the...
