Tire sizing to rim...something seems wrong.

I noticed that the spec'ed diameter of the tube makes a difference too. Narrow tubes in a large tire tend to pinch flat for me. For example. If I have a 26 x 2.00 tire and can choose between a tube made for 1.5" - 2.00" or 1.75 - 2.25, I seem to get less flats on the larger of the two.

S-LCD to S12S controller communication protocol hacked

Do you know if the controller will transmit the package without the LCD hooked up? I'm trying to program my S06S ( which I presume to be similar ) with out the LCD as a "project" since I forgot to include the LCD in my last order from BMS. I have attempted to read its TX line at the settings...

Convert 21 speed to 1 gear

Good idea! I just realized you could use the adjustment barrel to catch the ball end of a shortened shifter cable. One could tension the derailleur it as needed for the gear, then fine tune the chain line with the barrel.

Convert 21 speed to 1 gear

Hello, I'm assuming you can do the math to figure out if your gear ratios will work out. If not, I'll be happy to explain. If you want to do a single speed, you'll need a way to tension the chain. From the picture I believe you have vertical dropouts. You'll need something like this...

    Trek 850, Q100H Commuter. First E-Bike Build.

This thread has the decoded tx/rx serial communication. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73471 From reading through, it seems like programming the controller via my computer should be possible. Certainly worth an attempt I think.

    Trek 850, Q100H Commuter. First E-Bike Build.

I've still yet to find the throttle connector. Good to know. I should make use of the shipping charge from BMSBATTTERY and get another controller when I order an LCD. I hear what your saying about the throttle, I understand a momentary switch will have no more effect on the output...

    Q100H spoke flange dimensions.

I measured the hub. The dimenions here should provide enough info to lace a wheel up. Accurate to 1 mm. Q100H Dimensions.

    Trek 850, Q100H Commuter. First E-Bike Build.

I want to rig up a momentary button to put full power to the hub motor. You know to get out of the way if I really need to. Otherwise I think I should be happy with the pas. You were right about the hub being 36 hole. That said, on further investigation, what I thought was the throttle...

    Trek 850, Q100H Commuter. First E-Bike Build.

Hi All, I'm starting my first E Bike build. I have a trusty Trek 850 as my platform, and a Q100H from BMS Battery as my power train. The primary goal for this bike is to make commute ring and errand running more fun. I'm a strong recreational rider, on and off road, and I'm not expecting...

    Q100H spoke flange dimensions.

I was confused because BMS had listed the Q100 CST as 32. https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-kit/651-q100c-cst-36v350w-32-hole-rear-driving-hub-motor-ebike-kit.html I guess I'll wait for the motor to come in. When it does I'll measure it up and post something definitive.

    Q100H spoke flange dimensions.

Second question, Is the hub definitely 32 hole?

    Q100H spoke flange dimensions.

Sweet. That's just what I needed. Now for deciding what bike to put it on......aka the tough part :D

    Q100H spoke flange dimensions.

Does anyone have the spoke flange dimensions and hole count for the Q100H hub motor? I have had a hard time finding an decisive info. I'm asking because I have one ordered from BMS and would like to be prepared for when it arrives. Cheers!

Building up a 1984 Schwinn Super Sport - BMS Battery?

majornelson, In regards to wheel dish. If you reduce the spacer, the wheel will need to become more centered on the hub for a proper dish. This won't be a bad thing as it will even out and reduce stress on the spoke flanges. That said, I'd still recommend spreading the frame. The benefits...

Building up a 1984 Schwinn Super Sport - BMS Battery?

You'll most likely be fine spreading the frame to 130. I get the impression you haven't set a frame before. Since your bike is not made of "meat metal" like most schwins these days, I advise being very mindful. Think of a paper clip bent to many times. From experience spreading a few...

Hurzhurz, what was your method of reading the serial transmission? I'm am thinking of getting on these kits and am interested in reverse engineering it in a similar way.

Sourcing a Sunstar S03+ or TSDZ2 in the United States

Hi Endless Sphere, First post here although I've been lurking for a little while :) I'm looking to get into an electric bike kit. After doing my research it seems like the Sunstar SO3+ or a TSDZ2 would be the best suit my needs. They both have torque sensors, and this really is the way I'd...
