    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

With the 850 display the solution is reprogram the display. Very rare. Never happens with KT-LCD3!

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Most probably one of the LM35DZ leads are touching the motor casing and likely to be Vcc or Vop.

When charging, the charger should be connected to the battery first, and then connect the charger to the mains. Upon completion or on any other occasion, the charger should be disconnected from the mains first, and then disconnect the battery from the charger. In the first case, with a...

Is the error you’re referring to about <1.0 volt? Accuracy isn’t one of TongSheng’s priorities. It does mean that the low and reset voltages have to be set accordingly. I complained to a Chinese supplier that his product’s stated performance was well short of the actual and he replied that his...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Please have a look at this photo of a main gear fitted to a brand new 48v 750w motor. There is a 4mm diameter keyway, for want of a better description, machined into the main gear bearing housing with a matching keyway machined into the outer diameter of the sprague bearing. I’ve been around...

v20.1C with Imperial units: the wh/mile calculation shown on a 850C display are much too low and the graph of wh/mile is painted red indicating excess values. The calculation of wh consumed in Battery SOC looks to be correct. SI units are all correct. I know its technically correct to display...

Hi The supplementary configuration for 850C etc describes the Torque ADC step thus "This parameter is not used for the calculation of the human power shown on the display". I get Torque ADC step to be 42 to 43 on 3 bikes and the human power 850C display readings feel sensible. Is your view the...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Well! with 52v battery & 48v motor and 850C was a revelation. Superb piece of work. Approx 6wh per km over 40km @17kph av over gentle road with one big hill which I thrashed up it with the temp staying below 30 (very cold here for us - just above freezing but wind chill at least -4) All on a...

If you’re using an LM35 in TO92 package I had a similar problem after almost a year and it was one or other of the pins making an electrical contact with the motor case.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Sorry to read of your troubles. You’ve nearly done all the things that I’ve done but at least you must have got the bottom bracket of to fit it which is more than I did on one bike. I use a Shimano rear derailleur with a clutch which applies tension to the chain and I’ve done thousands of miles...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hmmm ... that's exactly what I did. I loaded v19.0 with a 48v battery and all is well.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm thinking of building a 48v coaster brake motor (they only supply a 36v) by using a normal 48v and locking by some means or other the sprague clutch. That should work?

Ditto with the 850C display. And agree with you about start response.

Many thanks to all who contributed to getting the lights to work on v1.1.0 That means I’ve got two 850C displays which can now be used at night!

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

In our application where we have use of hands and feet although with some limitations of the latter, and have fitted brake sensors, the resistance doesn’t occur or is overcome by shutting the motor down with the brake sensor.

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Which bit of v19.0 doesn’t work with a coaster brake? It certainly does do the job.

    TSDZ2 max power issue

When the display powers up, the version number is shown until the motor initialises. What is that number? Some of the earlier versions would do something like what you describe.

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Hi, your English is better than my French/German/Spanish etc!! As far as I know PSW either through AliExpress or directly are the only one to stock a coaster brake motor and only 36v 350w. I fitted one with Nexus8 and coaster brake (Cube frame). The Nexus was completely ok. There is no problem...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Ouch ... I was trying to flash the bin file not the bootloader file. Apologies. Now works fine.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

The motor flashes fine with v1.0 and the 850C display behaves as if it accepts the APT burn of v1.0 but it won’t turn on. Bit disappointing as that’s 60 bucks thrown away. The display serial no is 850C TFTGDV2.3CLB60 JLO2.0 TSA 202003122002 Anyone managed to flash this display from this...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

It was the throttle. It had only rarely been used and was “stiff” so the spring never fully returned but never opened enough to move the bike. As an explanation it sounds fanciful because it assumes that the physical throttle ADC value the software sees before assuming the throttle is in use...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Got a sudden problem with 0.19 The motor will not torque assist at all. The thumb throttle works, Cruise works, walk assist works, speed sensor is reading correctly and a duplicate ktlcd3 display produces the same result. But pedalling receives no assistance at all. Reading the configuration...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Noisy TSDZ2 with coaster brake I’ve got one of these fitted to a Cube stepthrough frame and it’s making more noise than I think it should. There’s nothing obvious that might be causing this. The frame was always “noisy” to begin with. Runs on version 19.0 with KTLCD3 display. Normally I’d just...
