    Thank you for your reply - i thought about that regarding widening the dropouts - but because it has 7-gears and all the chain, derailleur, etc. is down there, it seemed like it would not work. It's a good 2 inches more narrow than it needs to be!!! Can it be done even with the 7-speed and all...
