    Sabvoton User's Guide (unofficial) [sabvoton.wire.bike]

The HC06 will work as a serial bridge for sure. The problem that I’ve faced with writing a third party configuration app is that all of MQ’s software is compiled and spits out quite confusing serial data. The amount of time required to reverse engineer the 64-bit string sent from the app via...

    Sabvoton User's Guide (unofficial) [sabvoton.wire.bike]

Sorry for the very late response! Been busy here as of recent. And no, you'll probably be fine considering you have an M! They're standard with RS232 during that era... if you're lucky. You never know! I think we both know the best way to find out... hook 'er up! :D

What could be wrong with my bike?

PS - The correct replacement sensors for the Cromotor are Honeywell SS441A-S. You can use the SS441A’s but you’ll have longer “legs” off the sensors to deal with. Make sure they’re unipolar and not bipolar. I made this mistake and am having to replace them for the second time right now.

What could be wrong with my bike?

I have a Greyborg and Cromotor V3 just like you and am going through an identical issue. I’m fairly certain, up to 95% sure, it’s the hall sensors inside your Cromotor or the wiring leading up to them. There’s certainly an off chance that it’s an internal issue inside your Lyen controller or...

Do you recognize this hall sensor?

Thanks for your input, Cal. I am about to buckle up for round 2 of my hall sensor replacement. Fun stuff, isn’t it? What motor do you have? The eBay link is sure to help most people, but for the those with the Cromotor, it may be a bit misleading. According to Zelena, you’ll need unipolar...

Sabvoton 60150 or 72150 constant current?

I think it can take it, but of course it’ll kick it down to 30A or below if you hit your DC current limit temp/voltage flags. Honestly, these Sabvoton controllers are pretty cryptic to understand. All I know is that I’ve been able to get 120A continuous on my 96150, and it’s set to 120A.

Do you recognize this hall sensor?

I’ve done further feverish research and am starting to think these are Honeywell SS441A-S. That would explain the S. And the other digits are likely manufacturer dates. I’m going to keep looking and update my thread if need be for future reference.

Do you recognize this hall sensor?

It sounds silly, but I actidentally sent a ton of voltage into one set while testing a light kit which killed all three. And on the secondaries, I actidentally broke an arm off one while tinkering with wiring and a second was already failed to begin with. :(

Here's the documentation supplied from Sabvoton! :D Lazy answer: 50-150A.

Do you recognize this hall sensor?

I'm in the process of replacing the hall sensors inside my Cromotor V3. Yes, somehow four out of six of my sensors have died. I'm likely the most unlucky Cromotor owner on here. After removing the stator, a few observations: There's a lot of magnetic force when dealing with the stator... Yeah...

http://ebike.nexun.pl/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/SSC.pdf According to the spec sheet, it is indeed RS485. Pretty funny how they’d be willing to sell me a USB cable and Bluetooth dongle that are RS232. No wonder why this hasn’t worked for me. I’ve got the proper converter coming in the mail...

https://imgur.com/gallery/Kw3MZ Here’s a look at what I’m dealing with. I jumped the ground to the black throttle wire. That seemed to close the circuit up. Still no RX on the PC side. Rx/Tx stick around 3v. Red is 5v. Tried using the HC-05 module and also my USB to TTL. Tried setting...

Pin 1, 2, 6 And 7 appears to be 11, 16, 17, 19 on my end. Reference: https://goo.gl/images/e69v4j What are these 1, 2, 6 and 7? Are you talking about internally or on the “big” (B[x]) plug?

Help with Sabvoton and USB ($20 PayPal reward!)

Yes, that's a typo! I corrected it. Pin 1, Pin 2, etc. are all referring to the "big" harness plug, correct? The one that has hot snot (glue) covering the connections? Using any other ground wire would be rerouting the black gnd to the throttle connector at the harness connector level...
