New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Well, I have alignment envy now!!! My chain isn't close to being aligned the way it should be...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The very same problem happened to me. The bike would lurch forward unexpectedly, when parking for example... Sadly I had to send it back (to David, but I bought mine straight from China) for repair. The problem was the torque sensor and I don't know there's anything you can do other than change...

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Here are more pics of the completely dismantled torque sensor:

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Well, that was also my take on it, when I bought the motor: hoping I wouldn't be part of the unlucky ones... But I didn't have that luck. The fact that two torque sensors can fail in less than 8 months on a bike that is not being used hard at all (city use, Townie city bike, definitely no...

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Here's the post from the user who had the same issue: (Jan 16, 2018 10:06 am) https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=79788&p=1351451&hilit=destroyed+torque+sensor#p1351451 Definitely a design flaw here. Jeanl

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Well it was definitely the torque sensor. I took the motor apart, here are the pictures of what I found: The wiring in the torque sensor (I didn't realize there was any wiring in there) apparently came undone and got shredded. There is also a piece of plastic visible on the top pic to the...

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Thanks Dave, I'll take a look! I definitely would prefer changing it myself rather than having to send the unit for repair... Jean

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Well, I'm pretty sure it's the torque sensor that got shredded. I was using the bike today (with throttle) and the unit started making a grinding noise, and the pedals completely froze. I'm guessing the torque sensor got shredded inside the motor (I remember seeing that in the super-long thread...

TSDZ2 speed sensing or torque sensing issue?

Hi guys, I've had a TSDZ2 (48V) installed on my wife's bike for over 6 months now, and so far I've had mixed results: 1 month after installing it, the torque sensor crapped out, so I had to send the motor back for diagnostic and repair. Took 1 month + but the motor was fixed and we've enjoyed...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

casainho, I have no specific knowledge of FOC, but I have Electrical Engineering background with lots of math etc, so perhaps I can help with that. I need to have a bit more background though. I perused through the document that was posted above (the lengthy one with all the details on FOC) but...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I bought from http://recycles-ebike.com/ and got my motor very quickly. Support is provided by David there (known as eyebyesickle on this forum), and he's extremely good and thorough (My torque sensor crapped out after only 60 miles, which apparently is unusual). Fixing it took a long time...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

  But seriously: out of these 20, how many did you end up having "premature" trouble with (i.e., something that broke long before you would expect it to)? Asking because my unit lasted all of 5 days (30 miles) before the torque sensor went kaput...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Well, I installed the 48V 750W TSDZ2 (which I bought from http://recycles-ebike.com) with Throttle, light cables etc. Installation went fine on a Townie, and the bike ran very well for 60 miles. Sadly, yesterday, the torque sensor started not working well, and now the bike is nearly unusable, 2...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm fine indeed. 1.0cm works quite well. I haven't tried any further, but I suppose the reason they're no adjustable like the old ones is because they're quite sensitive and don't need to be close to the magnet...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but even a 1W LED bulb will be very bright so I don't think you run any risk of overloading the power supply. You could spec your bulbs so the sum is less than what's currently working...

    Battery mount brackets

I know this is a super old thread, but I was wondering if you found a good source the bracket you were looking for. I'm having the same situation: would like to mount a battery pack on the seat post but there's nothing to mount it on. J.

Got the battery, installed it, everything's working just fine with the 1cm gap between the magnet and the sensor.
