Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

Great, thank you :bigthumb:. I was thinking this would be the same for the display as well, thanks for the clarification.

Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

Hi ! After little over a year of use (and 1.7k km) whitout any troubles, I decided to check on updates for this little wonder of a controller. What's unclear to me is whether or not I should apply each and every one of the updates or if the last one is enough. In other words : are the update...

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

Can you tell us more about this cable and the programming process ? The existence of this cable was mentionned in the thread earlier but nothing more. The only thing holding me back for this motor is the lack of assist settings (adjust sensitivity to cadence and torque sensors).

On the diagram, connectors are seen "from the front" (ie looking from the side where they interact with each other). Red = +5V Black = GND White = Temperature sensor Others = hall sensor (Hope I answer your question bc I'm not sure what you meant :) )

    DIY 0-5k throttle

I have one on my build. It's definitely a hall (opened it to extend the wires). Runs perfect with a NCY throttle.

I'm really happy with this controller. Really good stuff. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the settings at first, but taking my time and reading the wiki I managed to get it working without burning anything (yet). This is my first ebike/controller. I still have a lot to understand before I can...

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

Did anyone test this motor with a SW102 display (for Bafang BBS line) ?

Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev!

While I agree with (most of) what you said, wasn't it clear that it was an option ? It's probably not the best place to have the "potting or not potting" debate. While we're at it, it's not a good idea for the rest of the bike...

    Vanishing Rubber Cement (Patch Kit)

It's a great idea, plus those bottles are available empty if you want to avoid the hassle of emptying them ! I've used Shoe Goo to repair shoes, and it hardens quite a bit after a time (like a rubber sole hard), so it kinda makes sense ! You could make your own plugs with some sort of wick...

    Bike shops..

:bigthumb: Never felt better than when I first laced and trued a wheel (~2 weeks ago). Now I know I don't need anyone to make wheel decently true, and won't have the kind of remarks you did.

I think what matte2k meant was "torque sensing" was not up to the TSDZ2 strandard ?

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

I don't have a good understanding of the electronics behind LVC so I thought it would be a good idea to ask first. If I were using a lower voltage, I guess I'd still be in the mesurement range of the LVC circuit. But when overvolting, isn't there a risk of falling out of that range and saturate...

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

I have quite the same question but the other way around : I have a 36/48V version, but I want to run it at 52V. The FETs and caps were changed to their 80V counterparts to accomodate higher voltage (and I am thinking about changing the LM317 regulator*), but is there any hardware modification to...

New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

I'm looking for a reliable BB-mountable, torque sensing, 52V compatible motor, and this motor seems to tick those boxes (I was considering the TSDZ2 but the reliability seems not optimal to me). Is there any evolution regarding the whole flashing/programming side of things ? I mean, is there...

Spare parts E-BMX Build "Deathbike Junior"

Could it be that it's a standard FW but reverse-mounted on a reversed thread ? There usually are markings on the visible side of a standard FW.

The wheel-building spoke-lacing thread, post your tips

If I understand correctly, the angle itself and number of cross do not matter, as long as the spoke isn't aligned with the nipple it'll break. Or are you saying even 1 cross won't work ? (It's a common XF40-30H, I believed those were commonly laced into 26" rims without trouble). I didn't lace...

The wheel-building spoke-lacing thread, post your tips

I have an Mxus motor laced in a 26" rim (2 cross pattern). I'm concerned about the spokes (Sapim Strong with Polyax Secure Lock nipples) flexing that way: This looks weird to me, and after reading this (and other) thread about wheel lacing, I understand 2 cross isn't required and 1 cross is...

    Rated power ?

I don't know the hardware you have, but the proper answer should be "none of that": a decent bike computer / speedometer should require the wheel perimeter, i.e. the distance the bike moves forward when the wheel makes one turn. For a given rim diameter, different tires will yield very varying...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I don't know these products, but I guess these are some kind of mesh, so a lot in air in it, right ? Would an oil bath be a possible solution (is the casing sealed/sealable ?) ?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

From what I have seen of the motor, and given my experience of this product, even if the space was small enough the way the cover finds its place aroung the motor prevents the use of such a fragile material, which needs to be compressed a little, but is very weak when sheared (which is exactly...

Bafang SW102 Bluetooth LCD - OpenSource firmware and mobile app

Trust aside, this seller charge for flashing and don't ship outside of north America. For a non north-american wanting to save $35 (+ expensive shipping if they were to ship anyway), that makes two valid reasons. Not saying it's too expensive or anything, just saying why I believe this is not a...

    BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER

I've bought a 75C 5Ah Turnigy Graphene. I hope it'll be enough (my two 25C in series [edit : in parallel, not series] weren't). [edit : it is enough, this pack works great] Regarding the lead batteries, I don't think a 100Ah/680A rated battery can ouptut 680A continuously, it must be a burst...
