Voltage? 48v Controller has big 63v and smaller 50v caps

If you want capacitors to last you want them to be rated higher than the voltage they're actually going to see. A 52V nominal battery charges up to 58V. You're going to have a very short lived controller.

what is it about a bmx bike that some people dont understand?

The saddle is a weird angle because nobody sits on it, they stand and sometimes use it to grab onto.

    Second battery (52v + 48v)?

What kind of person writes the word diode in doctor evil quotes? it makes you sound skeptical that they're real, which is a bizarre attitude because it's one of the oldest and most rudimentary electric components ever invented.

    Second battery (52v + 48v)?

It's magical technology is that whenever the two battery voltages don't match, the bike takes power only from the higher voltage one. When the voltages match, it draws equally. And then it also prevents reverse current from entering the lower volt battery. My friend, that is literally the...

When is a transmission /reduction gearing appropriate?

know the following: - how fast you need to go - what rpm your wheel needs to turn for that speed - how much power you need to go that speed get a motor that makes the required power, and learn what rpm the motor spins when it's doing so find a gear ratio that matches that motor rpm to wheel rpm.

Vent.....had to dump hydraulic brakes because too lazy to hack in a brake switch.

The part where I was taking to you comes after I quoted you. What I said before it was for the OP.

Vent.....had to dump hydraulic brakes because too lazy to hack in a brake switch.

This is histrionic. I could make walking to get a coke from the fridge sound like a 50 step process if I want. But if it's a lot of stuff like "raise left leg slightly", "lower left leg to place foot on floor 10cm in front of previous location", "raise right leg slightly", everyone would know...

Seems like more effort to replace all your brakes than it is to epoxy a reed switch on the lever.

    48v controller on 52v system ?

A fully charged 52V battery reads 58V+ on a voltmeter.

    48v controller on 52v system ?

That's very obscure, I've never seen one. My supplier goes from 50v to 63v with nothing in between. I say if whoever is selling this controller is trustworthy the components they use will be genuine. As always, suck it and see.

    48v controller on 52v system ?

48V ebike stuff should always work on 52V batteries. This is because 48V is a "nominal" (bullshit) figure. Fully charged they're closer to 55V, and near flat are... much less. everything gets built with parts that can handle more than that as a kind of safety margin, which is also enforced by...

Looking for a trustworthy front hub motor

You have a strong opinion on the difficulty I'll face with this project, despite the fact that you 1) know nothing about the bike. 2) know nothing about the things I can do. 3) have made no attempt to rectify 1 and 2. Why form strong opinions about things you know nothing? It has caused you to...

Battery in backpack what cable ?

I don't think there can be any other answer than "the cable that fits your battery connector". Depending what connector that is, you might have to buy plugs and a length of wire and make it up yourself.

Looking for a trustworthy front hub motor

I already have a cromoly mountain bike with 559 rims and a cyclone motor. Why would I want to build a second, identical bike? I have this nice Raleigh Superbe which I enjoy very much and would like to be able to ride long distances without getting tired. There are no kits for it's wheel size...

    Courier ebike project advice

Growing ever better. The front battery pack helps counter the cargo weight. I would still move the rear axle back a couple of inches, you are always going to get people who want that ring lock and also some full size fenders. And having the tyre be the furthest extent of the bike is always good...

Does my brand new hub motor (Aikema AKM-128CST) have a bent axle? (4K video)

Sorry no, you can see in the video it forcing the dropouts with no rim or tire, so your premise is faulty. What you're saying is correct on a wheel with an OK hub but out of true rim, or badly balanced tyre. But it doesn't mean that there cannot be such a thing as a badly balanced hub. We're...

(Beginner) Long-term battery quality: EM3EV, Grin, EBike.CA, Luna

It's a cyclone 3000 with standard controller so should be good for at least 2.2kW at 52v but I'm gentle with the throttle most of the time. I like to sit at 20mph to keep pace with mopeds but nothing more. Very upright seating position and ghost pedalling. Flat out and tucked in it's nearer...

(Beginner) Long-term battery quality: EM3EV, Grin, EBike.CA, Luna

June 2018 I bought EM3EV's 52V 30.6Ah triangle pack. They don't make ones this big anymore. When it first arrived it was over 32Ah, and only after a couple years of use did it decline to 30Ah. So it's very reliable and I'm still using it to this day. It took about a month to come, but I didn't...
