I was in the left turn lane on the Raptor with the baby trailer on 88th in Surrey, omw to pick up my son from preschool. Judged the speed of the oncoming car, had plenty of room, made my left. Apparently the person I turned in front of and the person immediately behind me were too busy watching...
I need a career change. How does one break in to that field? I have considered it as I think I would be a good fit. I can drive anything... well anything anyone's been willing to let me drive anyway. Long background in construction. Fork, scissor, boom, and first aid certified already, lol.
Find a stream or river and rig up a paddle wheel on a shaft, pulley on the end, belt to your motor.
Or electrify one of those floating paddlewheel trikes. That could be fun.
I build these things to pedal less, not more.
Sweet, thank you so much!
I got a delivery today but apparently the seller neglected to notice that I ordered two rims and only shipped one. Minor inconvenience but it won't stop me from getting this rear wheel sorted at least. Black was out of stock everywhere but damn the gold looks good...
Sorry for not revisiting this thread long enough to be able to reply. It's been a hellatious few weeks.
Thanks very much for the contact info for the spoke seller. I have two rims enroute and am really looking forward to getting confirmation of the ERD. Once that's nailed down I'll order the...
Well this is most fortunate! I'm going to order the rim now and will be following along intently.
The wheel building process is new to me so this will absolutely help improve my confidence in being able to source the correct items and get them in front of me.
Once the erd has been nailed...
Looking to replace a failed rim on my 1500w leaf and am considering this option.

Both are 36 hole but idk my arse from my elbow here so figured I'd double check before I commit to...
That's unfortunate. I kind of wanted to give an mxus 3k a try as a kind of intermediary between the leaf 1.5k and the qs205, both of which I already have.
I've already got one wheel build I'm going to have to contend with though, so might as well focus on that for now.
Honestly I'm not sure. This is on the rear of my Giant Revive, so suspended, and has been pulling commuter duty. I don't recall hitting anything out of the ordinary and the road surface between here and work is fairly smooth. It spends 12+ hours per night out in the elements and we've recently...
Can anyone recommend a seller that offers the MXUS 3k turbo in a pre-assembled wheel of reasonable quality?
Preferably a 16" moto rim, but 20" bicycle rim will do.
No cooling mods. I just rely on thermal rollback to keep me safe, and though I've never actually hit it I have approached it during long summertime rides. For the most part though temps haven't been an issue as I get up to speed rather quickly and amp draw drops rapidly once I do. Though I will...
I just realized the bike in the video was your build. Nicely done! I love the wire routing and would have never thought to have diy'd an internal battery.
Don't overestimate the amount of clearance between the tail of the bike and the tire. I put 2.25" Shinko 714's on mine and though I think...
I'm running the 35mm and for what little travel the suspension has the weight of the rear wheel hasn't seemed to impact it noticably. It does the job of keeping the tire in contact with the pavement pretty well even at high speeds (my top speed is 57mph). That said because of the limited travel...
As far as non suspension pedal bikes go I absolutely love my steel Lemond Poprad. Such a nice riding bike. From what I hear rigid aluminum bikes have come a long way in regards to ride comfort, but that Poprad put me firmly in the steel is real camp.
A bit of an apples to oranges comparison...
You don't need a CA for the Nucular, it works with torque sensors natively
"Wide types of input, configurable: 0-5V brake, switch brake, 0-5V throttle, torque pedal sensor, pedal-assist sensor"
