    Torque arms help

Here it is, not pretty, but its rapid. I went for 15mm each side. Having two more made to make it 20mm. I put the stock torque arm that came with the motor as a place holder.

    Can anyone read Chinese?

What kind of controller is it? Impressive numbers. Is it water cooled or anything? Controllers are rarely ever rate for continuous power, motors are. I think it will happily peak at 350a for a few mins, but not continuously before thermal roll back/ cutout kicks in. The 650a could be the boost...

    QS273 40H Smallest wheel

Oh man it’s all so confusing, too late now, maybe next motor lol. I tend to do most of my riding on the road so the higher top speed might not be so bad.

    New Enduro/clone build

Very nice bike mate, looks proper fun. I have a question, you got your first qs205 in Oct 01 2021 and developed that much rust by Nov 15 2O21? What issues were you experiencing? Just controller cutout? Anything else. I ask because I'm having issues as well, wondering maybe it could be rust...

    QS273 40H Smallest wheel

Why? Because l’m addicted to e-power :). The frame is relatively strong and heavy, It is not one of those china special. The change in motor is partly about me want more torque not speed and also I was having intermittent issues with the QS205/ ASI controller combination. Not sure which one is...

    QS273 40H Smallest wheel

Well I've sort of done it. After a lot of spamming, I finally managed to get a vendor to sell to me 1 piece QS273 40H + motorbike style QS273 cast wheel without the motor. The side cover match with the 40h, so they could easily accommodate people who don’t want spokes. I briefly thought...

Looking to Over Volt Motor on purpose, will Sabvoton fry itself if motor fails?

I've fried a 1000w motor with Sabvoton 150a + lipo and lucky the controller survived. To me it kinda sounds like you want to fry it on purpose? It's not really the volts that fry, but more so the current you indeed to push. Maybe if you tell us your setup up and we might be able to advice the...

inline watt meter for 72v battery?

I just wired the test range input in to the source side. As long as you are testing more than 8 volts it should work. The other unit I bought for my ebike has stayed in the box too. I thought I could make it water resistant but it looks like its going to be quite a challenge. I think it would...

inline watt meter for 72v battery?

Mine finally arrived. :D Managed to make it plug and play in line with two xt90. 0-300v no extra 5-12v needed. 300amp amps current. Working great for charging lipo. Love the clarity of the display

Motor/regen braking only works in high speed? (14kmh and above)

A fair point, he is probably running like a 20a controller which really doesn't cut it. That is why I said the OP needs to change controller if he really wants to experience good levels of regen. The display matters not. Mainly my argument was regen is not overrated IMO and can be a wonderful...

    My experience with Fardriver ND84530

That is some motor. Should be fun. I've been eye up the ND721800. Only thing stopping me is that I don't know whether these controller can regen to zero mph? They don't have variable regen either do they?

    Thumb throttle

Which thumb throttle do you have? I like to use this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32990537714.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802lmTyDJ I don't use my thumb though. It comes with the option of left and right. I put the left in the right side of the handlebar and the right to the...

Motor/regen braking only works in high speed? (14kmh and above)

Whaat...respectfully I disagree :D Forget about the energy back. Regen with the right controller is absolutely mint... I won't ride a bike without it. I can barely remember the last time I used manual brakes. I have a BAC8000 and it can LOCK the rear wheel and bring me to a DEAD stop. Arguably...

    Nanjing Fardriver amp ratings

You got a build thread? I want this controller as well. Do you know if it can regen all the way to down to zero mph? I know that sabvoton only regens down to about 3mph.

    Nanjing Fardriver amp ratings

Why Fardriver can I ask? I hear it does not have variable regen… 2000-3000w is the nominal rating for the motor they are suggesting for you to use, like a QS205. That controller can do 10kw PEAK no problem. They never really state continuous power, I doubt any of those controllers could do...

    Torque arms help

My scales arrived, wish I had known about the digital ones. They confirmed that QS205 is indeed around 10 x 16mm. I'm sure that QS273 will be 12 x 16mm. When you get a chance are you able to produce drawing. I promise, this is the very last time asking. Thank you ever so much.

    Torque arms help

Thank you, laser it is then. Interesting so 12 x 16mm should be about right. I will update when motor arrives. The other torque arms on the first page were a very very tight fit, I had to hammer them on. Two years later they practical falling off when I undo the bolts. I use a lot of high amp...
