    Help needed again...regarding splined shaft

Hi JC. The project was in hibernation over the winter as I was upgrading my DIY solar set up and increasing the size of the battery it feeds. I'm off on a short break over Easter so will have a good trawl of that site to see what we can find when I get back. Good Find!

    Help needed again...regarding splined shaft

Nice find about the Boxster/VeeDub. Had spotted the 125 hub but ruled out getting hold of an old 125 engine as I'd supect the output shaft would only be able to handle a few Ft/Lbs. At least I have a target when I go to the breaker. Thanks:bigthumb:

    Help needed again...regarding splined shaft

Thought about trying to remove the innner spline housing from the motor but it's pressed on. I guess will be a pain to get off as It can deal with 80Ft/Lbs and it has some pretty beefy bearings attached. Would probably ruin the bearings getting them off, so don't think it will be worth it...

    Help needed again...regarding splined shaft

I need to find a source for a 24 spline 25mm shaft to fit this... Was told by the supplier that it's a commom size for front wheel drive cars....but as yet the industry standard seems to be 32mm. Does anyony one have an idea what uses this size?...Don't fancy shelling out a fortune on getting...

96v Controller recommendations...from you clever people please.

Looked up on the UK Gov wedsite and it looks like I'll be liable for 20% VAT and then 2% on that. After converting to Sterling....it should still end up @ £770. P.S. the UK shipping company hit you for all duties before they will deliver!!

Thanks eee291. Saved quite a bit on the batteries and motor so recon I can stillbuy the controller and be within budget. So looking at kelly....KAC 96601. Anyone know why in the US they cost $600...In the Eu 1100 euros? Taxes and inport duty don't account for that!

That's interesting....looks like my inexperience is showing! It was available at a bargain price. Looks like I have a steep learning curve ahead of me.

So read though all 25 pages of the Fardriver thread and hardware wise, it looks ideal but the software appears to be a nightmare. My bike will be all about the acceleration so still leaning towards Fardriver but a kelly controller is within my budget...can it be setup to matcha fardriver? Is...
