    Make Motor Run Quieter?

Thanks for the good explanation! My eBike is a middrive and I don't have a throttle for the speed, just toque sensors on the crank for PAS (set up in CA3). So I am not really sure how to get the RPM of the motor at full speed in a testing environment. However, when biking CA3 reports that the...

    Make Motor Run Quieter?

Thanks for the reply! The KV is what the Phaserunner Suite autotune gives me after the spinning test. I am not sure how to calculate this number manually. Similar story with the pole count, the gear reduction kinda confuses me. As I understand it, the formulate is pole pairs x gear ratio. I...

    Make Motor Run Quieter?

Hello! I am wondering if anyone knows if I can quiet the motor noise on my e-Bike. I have an e-Bike with Shengyi CMT03, it had an inbuilt controller but it was not possible to program the controller and not the best design. I swapped to a Baserunner and CA3 and everything has been working great...

    Double Checking My Pole Pairs

I am programming my Baserunner and it needs the number of pole pairs before it can run an autotune. I am using a geared mid mount motor and according to the manual: My motor rotor has 16 magnets (poles) / 2 = 8 pole pairs (i'm actually not sure about this number) The gear ratio (stated by...

    Understanding Motor and controller

Hello! I'm by no means an expert, i've just been tinkering with this stuff the last few weeks and reading / watching a lot. I had a similar thought to yours so I can chime in and maybe it will help  I believe you are not taking the controller fully into account. The controller takes...

Wiring for Torque Sensor on Cycle Analyst

Thanks, that makes sense now! I didn't realized those were as the pulses you were talking about  A follow up question regarding wiring: I am using the Baserunner L_10 controller and the motor connector has a pin for the NTC temp sensor. But the CA also has a spot from the temp sensor...

Wiring for Torque Sensor on Cycle Analyst

Alright, so I did a bit of testing AD1 is indeed the torque sensor. No load voltage is 0.48V and when you put load on it, it will smoothly increase, let off and it decreases. Only saw it up around 2V but i'm testing it on my workbench stationary, i'll do a test ride tomorrow with the multimeter...

Wiring for Torque Sensor on Cycle Analyst

Thanks once again amberwolf, helpful write up. I'll give it a go this weekend :)

Wiring for Torque Sensor on Cycle Analyst

Hello everyone I am installing a Baserunner and Cycle Analyst on my eBike. My eBike is mid motor and has a torque sensor on the spindle (see pictures attached). The connecter has 7 pins but only 5 are used. The pinout on the controller looks like this, I mapped it to the connector. Any idea...

Any Info on Promovec (SCO) eBike?

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, Baserunner seems to be a great solution. And Grin a solid company, I think I will end up getting one of those. I just need to figure out the pins on my motor and controller. I probably will make another post with lots of question :D

Any Info on Promovec (SCO) eBike?

That's true, no way a new controller will fit where the current one does. My eBike has a downtube battery and at the base it has a small compartment that's empty. I've seen controllers that are designed to fit in there. Kunteng makes one for example. There appears to be community firmware for...

Any Info on Promovec (SCO) eBike?

Thanks a lot for your reply amberwolf! If i'm feeling brave this weekend I might 'depot' that control board, it's pretty soft rubber and just chips away. And yes you're right the BMS is in the battery itself :D I found the technical install manual for the motor and it looks like the whole...

Any Info on Promovec (SCO) eBike?

Hello! I have an SCO eBike (Danish brand) most of the parts appear to come from Promovec. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with parts or with programming the controller? I like to tinker with things and eventually the goal would be to tweak some of the parameters of how the bike...
