    Yea, like that slug of copper heat sink in my SOT227 thread... The SOT227 is still easier to tie into a busbar... IXYS is definitely a forerunner in the FET arena.. :mrgreen:

    Gotta love the DCB packages! Great find, I think that this part is going to be a winner and probably alot cheaper than the SOT227b. Solder a 1"x1" heat sink on each fet and you'll be golden!!

    I need to send an email to e-crazyman, and see if he'll build the 6 fet with "no loads" on the gate drive section. That way, we don't have to spend alot of time reworking boards, and just hook the microcontroller outputs to the ADUM6132 fet drives.

    Yes, yes, you bring up one of my dilemmas. I'm thinking that it may be a good idea to just do a phase leg board driver. There are a bunch of options, but the ADUM6132 seems like such a good fit...I have to check on the isolation...what kind of voltages can you run with this little guy...

    thanks for the advice, I think that I will try a combination of things. -Oval the hole slightly trying to retain enough clearance to the holes. -Precision Drill rod -rotate the housing 45 and drill/tapping new holes.

    check out IXYS again... 30A peak drivers IXDD430 They work in conjunction with IXBD4410 low side, IXBD4411 high side, and the dead time generator IXDP631. I'm looking at using them right now.
