BBSHD voltage and capacity issue with eggrider presets

AFAIK there was never anywhere to configure the battery capacity in the original firmware or the open source one by Daniel. I have no experience with BT BMS, but I would imagine that (battery capacity) would be done in the BMS app.

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Settings yes, firmware no. There are some copies of the original firmware floating around this forum and others. I haven't felt the need to attempt it yet since flashing this. Edit: The backed up original settings would not work on this firmware, only when once flashed back to original.

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

From my limited testing, 'PAS 0 or PAS 9 + Lights On' to switch to Sport mode, seems to work regardless of number of PAS levels on display by using your lowest and highest PAS levels on display, but trying to use the other 'PAS ? + Lights On' when you have only 3 or 5 levels on display seems to...

    BBS02B prices.

I just got a BBSHD kit from AliExpress (sent from UK, delivered in 2 days) for £430 - Everywhere else was wanting £600+ at a minimum. Was a bit sceptical but went for it, can't fault the product or the service at all.

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Mines is locked to 5 levels only... It will be either one of the following: This seems to be the most common mapping: PAS 0 -> PAS 0 PAS 1 -> PAS 1 PAS 2 -> PAS 3 PAS 3 -> PAS 5 PAS 4 -> PAS 7 PAS 5 -> PAS 9 Mines maps like this: PAS 0 -> PAS 0 PAS 1 -> PAS 2 PAS 2 -> PAS 4 PAS 3 -> PAS 6 PAS...

it's under the Throttle section heading, so I assume it's a global speed limit (all PAS levels) for the throttle only.

Default is PAS 0 + Lights ON for Sport / PAS 0 + Lights OFF for Standard

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Yeah that is correct, I have PAS 0 in Sport mode set to use cruise control at 20 mph, it works great. I have PAS 0 in Normal Mode set to 'Variable' peddle assist, so technically my throttle is doing the "override/assist cadence up to 25 km/h." My display only has 5 levels of PAS (non...

    BBSHD not working after crash

False alarm.... Seems to be working again, no idea why, may have been a dodgy connection, I unplugged and re-connected everything and all seems to be fine now.

We have the same law in the UK regarding throttle use, it can only be used to get you going from a start up to 6km/h. Although the max output is capped at 250w  I just disabled the throttle on 'Standard Modes' with my max speed set at 25km/h and max current 25% (of my BBSHD 1000w)...

    BBSHD not working after crash

Hi, My new BBSHD is not spinning after a crash, no peddle assist or throttle, battery connection and wiring harness seems fine, display works with correct speed shown. Initially thought it was a missing magnet from the brake sensor, but unplugged the brake sensors altogether and still having...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Maximum Speed I set for each standard PAS level is 25% (25 KPH if you have 100 KPH global limit set)... as soon as my display hits 15 MPH, I can feel it no longer assisting me, regardless of the PAS level or rear cog gear. I cannot get assistance at higher than 15 MPH (25 KPH), unless I switch...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

You do not HAVE to do the maximum battery voltage calibration, it just helps with more accurate representation of the battery percentage calculation if you do. But yes, in your case you would use 58.4 if that's what your battery reads on a multimeter when fully charged.

BBS02 vs BBSHD - how much can you alter programming also

The 500C was my initial choice, but saw people saying it's not great in direct sunlight, and them having to try and cover the screen to see the info. I do like the smaller, more discreet displays.... but I think I'd also like one with separate 'Up' and 'Down' buttons that are reachable without...

BBS02 vs BBSHD - how much can you alter programming also

I understand exactly what you mean, this is my first ever ebike, and first ANY bike in a long time, I knew absolutely nothing about them 2 weeks ago, but learning everything I can. I went from wanting a cheap rear hub drive to try out to ending up with a BBSHD while learning the ins and outs...

BBS02 vs BBSHD - how much can you alter programming also

T Thank you for the detailed explanation, I flashed the OSF for the BBSHD, so my parameters for config are slightly different now... I set a profile with 100% max current on all PAS levels using 48-60% max cadence to try and find my happy level. Seems my happy cadence is roughly the same as...

BBS02 vs BBSHD - how much can you alter programming also

Thanks for this. I found this page last week when waiting for my BBSHD kit to arrive and then couldn't find it again when I wanted to program it to reduce ghost pedalling. My only concern with this method of controlling the assist power is that everyone says the motors work best at high rpm...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

If I understand it correctly, the power will only decrease to 'Keep Current (%)', if you reach (exceed?) the 'Max Cadence (%)' from the current PAS level under 'Assist Levels'. (Although I think Keep Current Cadence (rpm) might have something to do with it too?) I can def feel it happening with...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

OK, so my curiosity (and desire to appear legal if stopped) got the better of me. So I took the dive and flashed this firmware earlier today. First impressions are amazing, (almost) everything works perfectly, and much better than original. The little extra power from 28A (new 52V BBSHD...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Thanks for your responses, I tried the Android app too, still couldn't get it working. I got another cable delivered today and it's reading/writing fine now. I forgot to take a backup of my default config though (noob mistake), although I take it that doesn't really matter if I flash this...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Sorry to annoy you about a year too late, but I just got a BBSHD kit with the exact same marking (MM G320.1000 09) and I'm unable to connect to it to Read MCU or use any of the bafang (or other) config tools... I can see COM port and can see lights flashing on USB adaptor but I never get any...
