hey guys,
has any1 used this power supply to charge a 20s lipo setup? i am very interested in buying as my current charger has some issues.
im just not sure if its good for lipo use.
any ideas would be much appreciated.

cheers

Seems much like any other Meanwell "clone" PSU ...only more expensive.
Generally these units have CC/CV charge profile ....BUT NO CUT OFF.. so can be used as lipo chargers with care and monitoring !
You could get 2 48v units for <$30 each and run them in series ?

i acually though about that before, but it would be much easier just to have 1 unit.
do these sort of chargers back off in amperage towards the end of the charging or does it run at full amps then cut off?
cause my current charger does not back off amps no more. something blew inside the charger a while ago and so the amperage does not backoff slowly anymore.

A couple of other options.

Less amps but a wider voltage range ( back up for other battery packs )

My current charger is from bms battery. I e heard alot of bad reviews as to I have had bad reviews 2 give aswell.
it stopped cutting off or backing off In current a while back when something popped inside the charger.
I always monitor the charging when im charging batteries.
To balance the batteries I use my rc charger. It just takes a long time when I use it. I use it every so often when my packs r abit out of balance

if you wanna repair the charger, that would be cheaper. we can walk you through it.

if you can post up pictures and describe how it performs currently then we can give you a clue.
