Grin shows an adaptor for Greenspeed trikes with their All-Axle motor: https://ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/motors/single-side-all-axle-hub-build.html

I haven't found a Greenspeed trike that doesn't use 90mm Sturmey-Archer drum brakes on the front wheels.

Can someone confirm for me that the All-Axle motor works with the 90mm Sturmey-Archer drum brakes on a trike?

As much detail as possible please - I am in Australia and I'm considering getting an MRT XC trike built - and the drum brakes are the only option. I'll need to work out if it's likely to work on this trike: https://mrrecumbenttrikes.com/newtrikes-copy/

Thanks much in advance,

The drum brake is the hub.

To use the GAA motor you replace the hub.

So you're replacing the brake with the motor.

To have brakes (other than whatever electrical braking your controller can perform) on those wheels, you'd need to install a new brake, such as a disc brake (the GAA has ISO rotor mounts). Depending on the hardware available on the trike, you might have to machine (or have designed and machined) a caliper mount for the specific trike mounting points available.

At least some of the Grin-made GAA adapters already have the disc brake caliper mounts built into them, making that unnecessary. (see the images on the page you linked when you choose different adapters).

See this thread or others about the GAA on trikes for potentially useful info:
