Help,i think i messed up

Can someone help me? I think i messed up,i was planning to build my bike i just bought today(Mongoose Malus fat)With a qs205.But now i realize it looks like the qs205 only comes in 150mm dropout spacing.My bike i just bought has 185mm dropout spacing and i think 35mm would be a little much to spread the dropouts. Am i seeing this situation the right way? Or am i missing something?

If your motor is 35mm narrower than the dropouts why not just fill up the extra space with 35mm of washers?
