I got a 48v Bafang BPM2 geared hub motor. I just wired it to my Lyen 9 fet controller to test it. When I push the throttle, it seems like it makes almost a grinding sound. It runs only for the time shown in the video, and then it stops turning. If I try to do this more than a few times, the motor doesn't turn at all, but it still makes a coil whine. The motor wire feels like it heats up. You can see that I hold the axle with a wrench at the top to counter the motor torque. I feel that the axle vibrates really strongly, the turning is not smooth.
The Lyen controller supposedly can detect the hall sensor angle, which for this motor I think is 60 degrees. However, I can change the settings to set it to 60 or 120 degrees. I haven't done that yet.
I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do this. What could some issues be?
