Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Would this also apply if you have a primary reduction from motor to a jackshaft in the swingarm pivot, and a secondary reduction from the jackshaft to the rear wheel? This solution could achieve the same total reduction using larger cogs on both stages. using a primary timing belt and a secondary ch...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Much exciting work going on in here now:-)
Just ordered a 15t pulley from CD, and I am excited to see that a 20s5p pack (72v, 17,5ah) would fit in the frame..
(looks like 100cells with BMS would need to be in two parts)
Good work guys!!!

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
The Neematic principal in a lighter frame with a smaller motor and battery, would make a great starting point for LMX's next model. I agree, but they would have to find a place for a torque sensor... Difficult with an off the shelf Pinion, but possible with an integrated design. I always wondered i...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
LMX, says: The torque sensing is much more precise and tunable with those new controllers, and the 5 modes allows more flexibility in the different modes tuning. That will be a great update to your bike and you will really feel the difference if you like riding with the PAS/torque more than the thr...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Yes, LMX changed the standard controller from Nucular to Silixcon SC controller, and the display along with it. https://silixcon.com/sc-controller-series/ I will do the controller and belt upgrade this winter. The Silixcon controller looks way more professional than the Nucular, and regarding the Ch...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
I might also be interested in a 15t belt sprocket even though i have not yet ordered the belt drive. Will the standard 14t belt sprocket be comparable to the 12t chain sprocket i currently use? If so, will the new 15t belt sprocket be comparable to the 14t chain sprocket my 64 came deleverd with? I ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Nice video Adam! I like these build videos and love too see all the details going into each build! I would add some cool background music to the video, just to make it even more interesting. This winter i will upgrade my 64 with new controller, belt drive and the zeb forks. I already have the rear s...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Nice engineering Scrambler.. This will be a costly rear wheel for sure, but it would be nice to get rid of the casette and derailleur if possible. A lower amount of gears with the same 30ish gear range , is awesome for an ebike. And the ability to shift while stand still.. One would still ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
@Scrambler I was a prototype test pilot for the Kindernay IGH when i had my previous BBSHD bike. I know the two startup guys of Kindernay here in Oslo, Norway, and i have gone through several iterations of the IGH. It was pretty solid in the end, but i cannot see how you can integrate the LMX freewh...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Nice work scrambler!!
These calculations should also work for a 72v battery which would be more interesting for me.
A 20s5p would be a nice battery for those who want power more then capacity (72v, 100 cells and 1260wh).

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Also on mode 3 I set my Battery to 55A and Phase to 180A and for some reason on full throttle uphill after like 3seconds the battery output drops to 40A and if I untwist and twist the throttle again I get my 55A back and it all happens again.... can't I get 55A continuous power? Is it limited by th...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Thanks , So 57.5mm on the motor side and 70mm on the pedaling side. Did you measure the center of the chain? On the pedaling side 70mm sounds like a lot, did you have the chain on the middle gear? Thanks again Yes that's correct. I measured center chain in front with the chainring with the chain in...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
What do you mean? Are you looking for chain length or sideways chainline (if so, how do i describe that)? What I mean by chainline, is the distance between the centerline of the bike (middle of the bike in the longitudinal axis) and the center of the sprocket. https://bike.bikegremlin.com/1755/bicy...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Bike park riding with the 64 and testing a suntour Tri-air shock. The shock performed well and the 3 position platform switch makes it very easy to tune. We are thinking about offering those but production delays due to covid at suntour and some others are crazy for 2021  Nice video Adam. That...

Nice video @jimmywazer
Good to see somebody taking the time to film from a third party view.
It's much more entertaining when you get a mix of both views, not only the 1.st person chest mount view.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
What kind of tyres are you guys using? Just got a flat on my front tyre from busting the valve into something. Looking at Eddy Current 2,6 27x5. Any tips? Riding mostly wet dirt rocks and roots. I ride Maxxis DHR and DHF II 27.5 2.8" tires. They have 3C aka triple compound rubber that makes th...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
I got the battery 'issue' sorted. I drained the battery empty with the bike running on a stand. It ran till it shut down by itself. Voltage was then approx 42v and the fuel gauge showed -334Wh. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3crdmpi5yriTbJv1ArlVb-HNUBL0304pLfXRGN0PZJnY5ZelJxE7I7oAk73A-L8x...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
When charging the battery after my previous ride, it suddenly tops out at 56,9v compared to 58,8v when it was new. The fuel gauge does not show a full tank either. I'we tried disconnecting and connecting the charger several times, but it will not charge anymore. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Got my first ride with the 40mm motor and I must say the difference is huge! No more overheating even on the most technical climbs going full moto... I had to set the field weakening from 30A to 60A to get the same top speed as before (58km/h). And I have a weird "squeaking" noise when I ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
I had a ride on the LMX64 today, and now i noticed that me as well have a strange sound coming from the crank/motor area. I can feel the vibration from the noise in the pedals, and its not there when motor is not engaged. I would not call it a ticking sound, but more of an unpleasant crunching sound...
