Re: Help Identifying Battery Connector
I saw a video of the seller trying to dismantle the battery pack and it is a pain to take apart... The connector Amberwolf found will allow the battery to remain unmodified. If you don't have the cradle for that battery, and don't plan on getting one,you could just wire an XT60 or XT90 connector on ...

EMB Lectra frame Project
A student and I are trying to get this pre-Covid project revived... The frame I have is from the EMB Lectra production e-motorcycle: https://www.bike-urious.com/early-production-ebike-1999-emb-lectra-vr24/ Looks like they mounted the motor on the swing arm. The motor I have is a 48V golf car motor w...

Re: Inverted Aquarium in Portland
No, we don't have to keep pumping - the vacuum pump is off 99% of the time. There is only a 1 psi difference in pressure between the water surface of the aquarium compared to the water at the top of the pipes (2' height difference).

Inverted Aquarium in Portland
Hi Guys and Gals, I've been away from the forum for awhile but am still doing ebike things. People might be interested in seeing one of my work projects at PSU in Portland. The Inverted Aquarium was constructed almost 3 years ago and we have had fun improving it over that time. It was constructed wi...

Kenda 163026 Big City Slick Tire
These are a great tire for street use; put them on my Giant Yukon hard tail and the bike is joy to ride now. Silent and very low rolling resistance. Will order another set for one of my ebikes. http://www.amazon.com/Kenda-163026-Slick-Bicycle-Blackwall/dp/B00V3HW3JA/ref=dp_ob_title_sports One review...

Winter Riding Helmet: Giro Nine.10
I got this helmet for an upcoming ski trip, but have been using it for bike riding this Winter. It's very comfortable, light and warm. Re: $25K military grade ebike...
I love how the terms "military spec" and "military grade" get thrown around when they don't actually mean anything. They do mean something; I regularly use mil spec electrical connectors and they are far superior than consumer grade connectors: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S....

Re: Putting a Car Horn on my bike?
You could build a simple circuit using a capacitor that the Lyen dc to dc converter would gradually charge up. May have to play around with getting the right size capacitor; the bigger the capacitor, the more beeps per charge. I would charge the capacitor through a resistor, so that you don't hog al...
