Looks good but it is hard to gauge speed in the video.

what pads are you running Tom and is your rear rotor a standard storm 203?
Cheers
I’m running the pads that come with the brake set…..not 100% sure. Back brake is a Hayes Stroker Ace with a standard Hayes 203mm rotor. I don’t remember if it’s a storm or not and it doesn’t say on it.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I bought that set up with a MT5e front brake set. I was in the process of installing brake light circuit so I swapped out my Hayes Stroker Ace front brake set since it had a switch and I just wanted to by something. At first I was a bit disappointed with the braking power but after the pads broke in...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Personally I liked the red bars better Billy. For a while I had red bars on my red bike, and they didn't quite work, because too much red. They look a lot better on your bike, plus I would think they'd be better at scaring off the giant man eating mountain kangaroos. I think the red bars looked “ra...

Re: QS203 3T Sabvoton 72100 need more low speed power?

I have the 3.5T beings stuffed full of amps by a Nuc 24F and it’s super powerful. Mine is capped off at 17 kw due to it being way fast and hard to keep the front end down at mid range. Off the line it does pretty good but past 20 mph the front end comes up way to easy. Mine was fun with the Adaptto ...

Re: Will this bike work for a 16KW build?

I run a 19 front and 17 rear. You can do a 18 or 19” rear but your motor (all hub motors!) will be happier in a smaller wheel.

I can’t answer on the width of the rim vs that size tire……I’ve never done a skinny tire.

Re: Will this bike work for a 16KW build?

I’d tell you to go to a 17” rear and a 2.75 wide tire is about 3 1/4 inches wide.

A 1.6 or 1.85 rim will be fine for that size tire.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I changed out the front brake set to a Magura MT5e so I can add brake lights to my bike and I just because I wanted some new stuff. I bought the brake set, 220 rotor and 220 brake adapter. Put it all together and thought I threw my money out the window. But once the brake pads broke in it’s unbeliev...

Here are some pics related to the replacement of the controller. This is a comparative pic where you can see the size reduction, on the left Adaptto Max-e and on the right Nucular And in the end yesterday I managed to make the auto-setup with QS205 and Domino throttle .... so far so good I can’t wa...

What gauge cable do you use? What gauge do you think would be optimal for about 60A continous, 200A max?

Thank you!
I think you would be fine with 8 gauge but I’d probably use 6 gauge.

Re: Will this bike work for a 16KW build?

I’m stuffing 17kw into a QS 205 3.5T motor and it’s a wonderful experience that continually puts a smile on my face every time I ride the bike. All I was going to add is if you want to “continue” to pump your 16kw into your 4T motor you will need ferro fluid and Hubsinks. You will also need a good c...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

So I found out my bike isn’t as fast as I thought it was…..but may be a bit faster in a full tuck. Picture this, I’m sitting on the bike full upright trying to hold my iPhone on the Nuc screen while I accelerate to 60 mph. I found myself getting a bit nervous as I approached 60 with just one hand ho...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I meticulously built my own pack. I have a 20s15p 30Q pack (8g leads with copper bars and 8mm connectors) that is still pretty new. I’m think I should probably build a new one out of the 21700 cells that are 35 amp cell and 4 to 5 amp each. A 20s10p of those cells would just amazing. When I was pus...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Tom that battery looks like a monster. What’s your range like off-road? At 55 watts a mile I should be able to hit close to 60 miles at high bicycle speeds but I’d guess on a pretty aggressive off road ride I could easily get 35 miles. Tats, Thanks for the compliment! Once you get past the first sp...

My motor is a 5304 so its a 4 turn. Before I had ferro fluid and hubsinks that thing would overheat on easy peasy riding fire roads.. Now its much better... adaptto is old and would indeed heat up my motors. I dont have this problem at all with NUC.
Now days old means more than a year old. If I order a Nucular controller by the time I get it everyone will be telling me I should have got a new Quantum controller. :(

Interesting info! I like to pedal as well. That's one of the big reasons I like my bomber. Based on your screen grab looks like you using 53 wh per mile which is a bit less than me. Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

So first off I peddle 90% of the time because I want some exercise. Also, I don’t want to be “noticed” or stand out in the crowd because I ride many shared and group trails. This includes paved, rock, chat and dirt trails. Also when around people I’ll keep my speeds down around 15 to 22 mph. On busi...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

For the record I have been charging through the controller for quite a few months now. It works well and luckily my 20s15p 30Q pack is staying balanced well. I’m keeping charging amperage low at 10 amps till the BMS is available. Also only charge to 4.1 volts or 82 volts total. My 45 amp pack is qui...
