Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Stopped working after rain happened. I thought it was something with my wiring and made sure the throttle and regen wire didnt touch each other. I also noticed by twigling the wire the on / off switch were cut so I resoldered it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qlb4a989l7fxssf/00000PORTRAIT_00000_BURST201...

Re: Ebike to tow a caravan?

Ok maybe not 30mph. What would be the most reliable abd safest speed? Like walking speed? Maybe i just install a jocket trailer going 5mph and walk with me on the road?

Ebike to tow a caravan?

Hello I was wondering if an ebike could be used as a main way of living and transportation? Couldit be used to tow a few thousand kg caravan? It wouldn't need to move very fast, just a max speed of 30 mph would be enough to move from place to place. Anyone tried? How many watt motor would be needed?

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

I maximised all contact area with the phaserunner heatsink and changed to aluminium bolt and rivet for maximum heat transfer to the bike frame: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ngtm2b1q273ndh/IMG_20180915_222232.jpg?dl=0 The compression bolt between the 2 copper plates have also been changed to zinc as it...

I covered mine with copper as it is the best material for heat transmission:

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

How much power your motor use? I also want to cool the phaserunner, for that I use the frame, alu and tita are good heat conductors. But there must be good contact between the phaserunner and the frame. That is why I would remove the paint from the frame. And then use a good heat conductor between ...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

As my phaserunner was always getting hot, I decided to add a heatsink to it. I've decided to use copper because it has greater heat transfer than aluminium: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pg9eddwytk5kp5j/IMG_20180905_191737.jpg?dl=0 Then I covered the whole controller with copper bar: https://www.dropbox...

Re: Full suspension semi recumbent for long range

If you can share an ebay link to a very silent freewheel I would consider. In the quest of having a more comfy and more aero position, I've added a car backrest on the bike. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mbxf623qael8zj5/IMG_20180903_183352.jpg?dl=0 However I found out I also need a headrest. Can I use t...

Re: Advanced ADAPTTO controllers and compatible products

I had 2 times broken down and sent for repair. now it becomes pretty reliable actually. love and hate, like a gf. Their respond is very slow but they are still repairing it instead of ignoring you completely like most small companies when they are not selling anything. I still like my adaptto. char...

I'm thinking to buy this:

Re: Full suspension semi recumbent for long range

Put the cogs and chain back on. Seriously, especially at slow speeds, pedaling gives me a much finer level of control that makes it feel more stable. (On my recumbent.) It keeps your circulation up, anyway, and it will increase your range, if you're traveling at moderate speed. Yes! You do most of ...
