Re: Long Term testing of an ATS Speed Drive

Im looking at a drive for the front of my Greenspeed Magnum trike---- Patterson looked way eaasier than this--- i dont think it has to be chamfered.... they are about the same price as ATS--- lot cheaper than Schlump....

ANyone know of any negatives to the Patterson?

Re: 9Continent - 9C30H88

Nep,--Lots of edits on this post-- learning more about the trike as i go--- I tried the simulator and didnt quite understand it. Mainly because I dont know much about what to input. I dont know much about controllers, but I will learn. I am also trying to learn the difference the windings make in th...

Re: 9Continent - 9C30H88

Glad to be back on the forum... (Still have my Luna Cycle with Mike's Big Block on it.) I may part it out with the Rohloff and BB selling separately. Haven't decided yet... That frame just didnt cut it. It couldn't stand the pressure when i cranked on the BB---the dropouts bent and spread so i was l...

Re: 9Continent - 9C30H88

Yay, i was hoping that was also the case....the motors that I have found mention of were going up in nomenclature as they got wider. (right?) It look similar to this one-- i dont know if it is a screw on hub or not. I would like to be able to use it as a PAS motor. (and for getting across red lights...

Re: 9Continent - 9C30H88

That could very well be. Nep All the history i could get was it didn't work for the prior owner. I will give it a go tomorrow and see if it does it with the freshly charged pack. I cant tell if they are charged up or not-- dont have my tools with me. But the cheapo computer will show a full battery ...

9Continent - 9C30H88

Could anyone shed some light on this motor for me. I am just now getting back to recumbent trikes after a couple of years away. I bought a Greenspeed Magnum that happened to have this motor on the rear with a controller that is about 4" x 6" The first time i tried it out it was intermitten...

Yes, lots cheaper...and you and I both know as smooth and beautiful as that Roly was....it was just too many gears for my application...I need grunt and gruntier...

Plus..don't forget. Pedal assist with throttle back up

Re: LightningRods mid drive kit

Mike, do you have a better motor/rear hub solution for me on that Salsa frame.....now that you know how I ride. I have a friend who may want to buy the Brand X.... With 197 rear drop out..I don't know if the 135 Rolly will work. Maybe it would be better to start with a clean canvas... I guess I am a...

I like that look..and I really like the frame.

I may be coming to Seattle (working in Houston now)
and I could drop everything off on the way through.

I will know how much longer they will need me here soon.

Ttyl.
Thanks Mike

I took the wheel off and looked at the dropouts I'm surprised to see the left drop out that looked as if it has spread open. I will post pictures.... I am trying to figure out what made it sprea...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

I tore a freehub all the way down to the bare alloy hub today. I'm sure that we can make a 10 speed freehub right side for this new billet hub. The tricky bit is the ratchet ring and you can buy that as a replacement part. I've heard that it's possible to get the ratchet ring and pawls for a DT Swi...
