Re: Brushed vs brushless motor in go-kart setup

Maybe Chalo meant to grease the brushes on the brushed motor for extra torque off the line, old tech and all.

42 pounds of battery
You'll need a few extra wraps of black Gorilla Tape to hold that onto your bicycle frame.

Advance auto parts rep told me this Saturday they would take my 48v lithium battery pack for recycling. Home Depot is another possibility, but their website say 11 lbs and 300 w maximum. Whom you really need to be best buds with is any of the tool reps for tool batteries  :thumb: I've seen th...

Re: Tire failure modes.

I rode with a flat 19"x3 knobby motorcycle tire and really did not notice a big difference. The tire is a normal dirtbike knobby tire, very stiff, very heavy. I will look into 22" bmx rim with 18" moped tire, but I wouldnt want to go much smaller then 24" bicycle wheel size. Goin...

I literally just read up on this. The Odyssey battery is a great alternative to the Optima batteries. I did read that Sears has a similar product, but since Sears is gone in Canada I did not read the 2009 post in Pirate4x4 forum. I noted the Optima batteries are $240cdn (www.4wheelparts.ca, Costco r...

And second motor for help up 6-8% grades to be able to go closer to 20kph rather than 10. 6-8% slopes continuosly for kilometers o...

Re: Dual Motor install, Pas/throttle only moves 1 motor?

More motors = more that can potentially go wrong. Always better to go one bigger motor then two smaller motors, unless you want traction in slippery conditions like mud, snow and sand.

Why did you want to dual motor setup?

Not the community recycle centers, they dont take paints, oils, batteries, lightbulbs. Fire department recycle sheds, or land fill recycle sheds. Landfil...

Someone trusts the structural integrity of cheap chinese carbon frames, forks, and bars, because if one goes cheap carbon frame, one goes cheap carbon fork and cheap carbon bars. Almost all the parts have trickled in so i am about to embark on my g310 build. Looking forward to it In an odd twist of ...

Its just another thing for Curtis to buy and wait for. In reality its two or 3 things he needs to buy and wait for. They need to be cooled down by waiting between spot welds, or adding cooling like aluminum heat sinks and fans. Re: Super fast charge

Better to have way more battery then you need, to increase the safe C-rating for charging. Downside to that is the battery gets bigger, and heavier, and harder to place. If you need 1kwh battery (48V 20Ah) and you have a 8A charger then get a 48V 35Ah and get a 15A charger.

Re: new eZip motor

I can not charge without a BMS if the charger wont do 2.8V per cell charging.
Most lipo chargers can not do a set per cell charge, there might be one out there somewhere.
I wanted to do a 4.15V/cell but couldnt find any at the time I was looking.
